@beard_of_zeus: Have you or anyone else for that matter found a use for that guy? On Hard Classic he's just too hard for me to try to level up. Does he get awesome or is he just a nuisance to avoid?

I think of their use of the subject as more of an experiment. When they try to tell "rich" narratives it's stupid to ignore such a pervasive part of being human (or alive for that matter, unless you're a turkey). Also, avoiding it due to some fear or moral issue doesn't make sense either. In other words, for the games they make, "WHY NOT"?

And honestly, their kind of unearned check-list treatment of it reflects that attitude, I believe.

First, decouple this argument from violent or directly oppressive crime like rape or abuse. Now, what is racism? It is a belief that one person is treated differently than another person based upon their race. If you're calling foul on racism then you need evidence that somebody is being treated differently because of their race... otherwise you're the racist. If Tiny Tina (a shitty but unimportant character) is causing you so much grief you should examine yourself deep inside as to why.

Nobody likes snitches and bitches, especially when they're frivolous. RIP Mike Sacco.

I fully understand if you have shot one and decided it was boring. I can even try to understand shooting one and not liking it (harder for me, because I own several and enjoy the life experiences I go out and have with my family plinking and competition shooting). However, if you've never shot one, I personally don't feel you have much to add to the debate because you are speaking from a position of fear or ignorance or both. And it is people who have never handled one and talk down about them that scare me the most because they are the most likely to have accidents and/or give up that experience for the rest of us. Do guns kill people? Yes. Do cars kill people? Yes. Do cars serve a purpose other than killing or maiming? Yes. Do they do so anyways? Yes. Do guns serve a purpose other than killing? Yes.

If you haven't shot one I don't think you really have a place in the debate other than to say "Hey, I should at least familiarize myself with what I'm so readily and willing to attack or am otherwise completely ignorant of." If Scandinavian members want to tell me "you should get your guns under control" I'll listen but I rarely hear that argument from countries where joining the military is mandatory.

To answer the question, yes, and I enjoy it as a hobby. I'm not a hunter or a 'gun nut', just somebody who enjoys the rights provided to me and don't think anybody has the right to take them away even if it comes at the sacrifice of an unlucky few. Once you take rights away they're nearly impossible to give back (something your average Brit in an ultra-protectionist society wouldn't understand; I love you guys but christ, your gov is almost as fucked up as ours). Face it, we all only get one go at this life and nobody gets out alive.

For those wondering, the permanent progression part of this involves a personal tavern accesible between levels. You upgrade certain statistics and perks from this tavern interface.

It's consistent across class but not across account except for cross-class things.

Let me know if you have questions and I can hopefully answer them as I go.

PC.... I'm in the midst of the first scenario, have not tried multiplayer... I own a proper version on steam in case you are an xbox, playstation or a pirate owner and it is not working for you.

confirmate, definitely playing.

Just started the campaign. If you've been looking forward to this as much as I have then you're already playing or checking the veracity of my claims.

I'm in the North America region and this game unlocked about 11 hours early. I'm currently downloading and expect to be playing in minutes.

I really don't remember there being anything like guns.  Bomb traps, I believe, but no guns.

Come to think of it, I think you would use some traps to launch the bad guy into other traps.

Thanks for the guess though, that definitely fits a lot of what I said.
