Hunter fan here, so I chose Arcstrider Hunter, although I'm not sure how long that will last. Gunslinger might get some use too, but I hope they let us change it so it's not just 6 shots with hardly any time. I hope we'll get the Nightstalker back, since that was my main in the first game. There's just something fun about shooting that bow, slowing a mob down, and picking them off. My Warlock will probably get some more play in the second game as well, but I'm still not feeling that Glide. I guess I'm so used to double jumping that a glide just feels... off. Not so much the glide itself but the fact that I'm still hovering after I let off the button, I don't like.
So fat I'm digging this beta. I haven't had too much of a chance to really dig into it besides playing that intro mission with all 3 classes, ran the strike once, and PvP a few times. Had a couple really good PvP matches last night.
I should be on later tonight when I get home from work, if it's still up. It'll be around 1 am CST, and if any of you will still be playing I'd love to join up!
Thanks Austin, for all that you brought to Giant Bomb. You quickly became one of my favorite dudes on staff. You brought a lot of insight and humor to GB, and changed how I think of things, especially when it comes to games. I know you'll do well in whatever it is you go on to. And please come back to grace us with your presence every once in a while!
I didn't watch the GB stream (I prefer to watch the regular stream first, so I can actually hear the conference and then watch GB stuff later), but having read the forum posts and the GB guys' tweets, I'm surprised by their response. I don't expect them to be blown away by it, but it was a damn good conference. Not Sony's best, but the best conference out of this E3. God of War, Horizon, RE7, Spider Man, Kojima's game, Detroit.... It lulled a bit for me during the COD stuff and some of that VR showing, and I wish they had some indie games and Persona 5, but I'm happy with this conference.
So we don't like South Park anymore? Ok, good to know.
I'm stoked for the new South Park game. The Stick of Truth was a big surprise for me. I'm ready to get into The Fractured but Whole (insert innuendo here). Cool that they're offering the first game as a pre-purchase bonus.
I actually really enjoyed Ubisoft's conference this year. We got South Park, Trials of the Blood Dragon, For Honor, and some new Watch Dogs 2 footage, which actually looks like it could be good. It ran a bit long and had some cringe and boredom (I'm looking at you, Assassin's Creed movie), but overall, not bad.
I'm usually playing later at night, and depending on what day it is, the morning/afternoon.
Definitely a student. I'm in the same boat as a lot of you. I've been following fighting games for a while now, dabbled very casually in some, but this is the first one I'm really trying to get into. Hoping to improve. I'd love to get some matches in with some fellow duders! I'm mainly playing as Ryu, but I'm trying to throw some Ken and Laura in there too.
