If there is to be a surprise, it may be Kid Icarus Wii, a game that Nintendo are rumoured to taken control of after Factor 5's demise. I whole heartedly believe the Kid Icarus project exists in some form, whether or not they'll choose to show it is another matter though. I'm also not going to rule out a F Zero for 3DS or Wii - I think the resources needed for both are small.

I'd love to hear about a new DK game. I think I'd be content enough knowing that it's being made.

Cool, it sounds awesome.

"It makes the first seem like a demo"  - people are saying the exact same thing about Galaxy 2

" Chibi Robo and Pikmin are the two games I feel have the cutest characters in a Nintendo game for me, by a long shot. "

Pikmin is definitely up there with the best of them, that game has an abundance of charm that oozes through everything. I cannot wait till E3, when were expected to get our first glimpse of the third game.

To be honest, while I would agree about the majority of characters in Chibi, I wouldn't agree about Chibi Robo himself. I don't think his visual design is as cute - his shape and form Isn't conventionally cute. I would admit wholeheartedly that Chibi does grow on you.

I'm actually hoping he goes through a redesign in any new game...

Nintendo have made a plethora of games which are visually cute over the years. What game, or indeed games do you think rank as some of the cutest, visually?. I'm asking this question on the back of watching Galaxy 2 videos - stylistically, it's incredibly cute, far more so than the original was.

I think it's important we direct criticisms in the right direction in the right manner, a print magazine that writes primarily for kids, as well as adults (-very Nintendo like) doing all that they can to survive in a very harsh climate is not worthy of such  typical official = bias claims from a fellow journalist. Nor does the, well educated writer of the review deserve to have his work rubbished before it's even been read by Jeff.

It's an editors role to make sure issues fly off teh shelves by whatever means, - multiple covers and tired well used slogans like  -"The Only Review Worth Reading!" are age old ways of doing this.

It's a writers role to create solid and fair reviews and pass them onto his editor so that he can perform the spin based on the reviews content. The PR from Future Publishing editor was based on what he read in Chris's review for the game. He would not be hailing the game as Miyamoto's Masterpiece if Chris had given it a review score in the 8's.

Jeff was being a dick.

I personally love print, hell, if there was a magazine that could cater to all my need.s I wouldn't spend half the time I do currently on videogame websites. I adore the print format, I could elaborate in detail exactly why, but I'm hungry now :)

Nintendo's Shigeru Miyamoto was recently asked whether Nintendo would continue to offer free online play in an interview with Edge Magazine. At present, games are free to play online using Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection, although some services are subject to charge using the "Pay & Play" service which is used on a small selection of games currently.  Miyamoto-san revealed that Nintendo are contemplating whether to switch to a subscription based scheme, or stick with the "Free, but pay for extras" approach.

Miyamoto openly admits that Nintendo have been less active than they should be, but disputes claims that the console maker isn't - "proactive when it comes to online content".

It is true, though, that Nintendo hasn’t been very proactive in developing such online activities as an MMOG. But when it comes to our endeavours that try to take advantage of internet technology, where we can provide our customers with more fun and entertainment, then I think we can say we have been very, very proactive and well-received. And that attitude won’t be changed at all in the future.

As a closet Otaku I really love this kinda thing, just check out this beautifully crafted Jill Valentine figurine :O

The Jill Valentine figure from Hot Toys is only 1/6 scale and is based off Jill's Resident Evil 5 Alternative/Gold Edition incarnation. It's 28cm tall and includes interchangeable palms and am assortment of weaponry.

Nintendo's president, Satoru Iwata, has revealed the stereoscopic 3D effect used in "3DS", is optional. Iwata-san speaking in a recent investors meeting acknowledged that some gamers may not want to use the feature, and also and that some, because of underlying health conditions, could suffer some mild side-effects. As a result 3D can be disabled.

Since the "3DS" was announced, I've suspected Nintendo are holding back on something huge, I really don't think the 3D effect is the biggest draw and incentive to buy this of this new machine, this news for me only confirms my suspicions.

This years E3 will of course tell all.

I'm personally hoping for, what I am calling "Virtual Gameboy, I think such a feature could effectively kill the handheld competition for years to come. Contemplate just how many awesome games have appeared on the Gameboy lines throughout the years.

Four years ago, on this very day, my beloved Coco passed away :(

The image below was taken a week after Chanel died, through natural causes the vet told me, although I still think rat poison played a role. Chanel was an all white Peruvian goddess, she was a cutie also - very virginal looking. Anyway, my little Coco was left heartbroken at the lost of his love, as the image below clearly shows. He went off his food and followed her into the afterlife soon after...

I miss how he used to nibble my pencils in my studio while I worked :(

" @oldschool:  Why is he in a glass house, as his site is not licensed and afaik has no allegiance to any gaming company as opposed to OHM? It would be a fairer criticism if he was still at Gamespot, but he's not. I think if more people were called out like this they might be shamed into putting out better journalism. Articles like these need to become more widespread not less, so at least criticism could be mounted without endless petty snark and ad hominem attacks. Unfortunately, it's the emotional fragility of fans and sensitivity to any perceived criticism that leads to virtually no criticism and a persistently low standard. I can see where you're coming from though, as they tend to ignore the marketing excesses of for ex. Halo, with its incredibly overblown legendary collector's packs, etc., which is unfair. They could be more damning of the HD consoles and their failings. "

Haha, videogame journalism would be in a truly dire state if everyone was a dick.
