Games like Skyrim, Mass Effect, Fallout, Dark Souls, Dragon Age have replay value in either completely re-rolling or continuing on in the world. Does this game provide that urge to keep playing? I know that's subjective, and that the content is definitely there; but is there value in it?
1. The 3DS is already small and a bit cramped. I don't think they would be able to fit everything into a smaller form factor.
2. The argument of adding a 2nd analog pad doesn't work. The analog attachment also adds LZ/RZ buttons. They wouldn't leave those off a redesign and there's no room to comfortable add more shoulder buttons.
3. I don't think they could make the 3D screen any bigger so that's 1 thing a redesign wouldn't have.
4. They won't release a redesigned 3DS too close to the Wii U launch. So that'll delay any potential redesign I would think.
I just don't see what they could improve, while still justifying a redesign. What do you guys think? Are my points valid?
I thought the process of elimination was fantastic, but I think they gave up on a few games too easily and put up too much of a fight for other games. But I guess /that/ is just my opinion on the games themselves. Mainly I was disappointed with the lack of good arguments. Seems like once they got the top 10, they had the order figured out within 10 minutes. Then 30 minutes arguing over Skyrim and Saints Row: The Third, where Ryan gave up and decided Skyrim should win because Saints Row was under 30 hours.
