Older Star Trek games you ask? One of them has to be Bridge Commander. You'll have to find it on Amazon or Ebay. Not sure if it's on GOG. You play as the captain of the USS Dauntless which is basically you're very own Enterprise-D. The Next Generation characters do make an appearance in both cut-scenes and missions. Graphics are not its strong point but if you're a Star Trek fan, it's a must play.

The Star Trek Armada series are decent strategy games. For FPS, The Elite Force series are pretty good. They're based on the Id Tech 3 engine so it's easy on the eyes for an old game. The Enterprise-E and it's characters make an appearance as well. The first has you on Voyager and the second on the Enterprise-E.

They did a bunch of fixes. I was unable to finish H4 due to a glitch but I did awhile ago. I can tell you that it's gotten better. Give it a try.

I have all three games for the Gamecube. Haven't played them in a few years but I remember enjoying my time with them. You definitely cannot go wrong with them for a measly $10.

It's unfortunate that Joystiq will soon come to a close. Joystiq was one of two websites i go to along with GB for my gaming news and entertainment on a daily basis. Now that Joystiq will be no more, do you have any other gaming website recommendations?

Best of luck to the people at Joystiq. Hope you land on your feet again soon!

It's in the game it counts. End of story. Unless like, you play on a real competitive level at something then that's different. Then only what you have done in all official competitions (i.e. like in sporting events, competitions, and seasons) is what "matters" I guess. But in my opinion, as someone who likes to have fun and do good at things, every match/game matters, because it is you playing in it.

Makes sense. If you choose to play a competitive match it does count because you chose to play it. No one forced you and you know what you're getting into.

Why is this even questioned? Isn't it obvious? Unless physical violence takes place, the show must go on.

Are there any competitive games where all characters are completely, or even close to, fair and even without any cheap moves etc.?
