If you ask a lot of internet forum users what games they find the most overrated, they'll say Halo. Do you think they're right? I say yes, because I'm a hardcore gamer.

What so special about Halo that makes it good? Dynamic A.I. with and sandbox combat? Pffft! No way! Those stuff are so lame, outdated, and casual. Games with overly scripted A.I. like Half-Life 2 and Call of Duty 4, because that stuff is interactive and hardcore. When I play Half-Life 2 and COD4, every fire fight is the same and it's so satisfying because I don't need to use strategy with the straightfoward combat system. Halo is lame, because it forces me to fight against intelligent enemies and use a sandbox combat system, it's so dull because it forces me to use strategy and I hate strategy. I like it better when I have to move from one scripted set-piece to another, fighting the same waves of brain dead A.I. and solving easy seesaw puzzles

The multi-player is so lame, because it's not about whoever shoots first wins, it's about use tactics with the sandbox combat. That stuff is so boring, because it forces me to skill and I can't camp or I'll be punished for it. That's why I play games like Call of Duty 4, GoldenEye 007, Perfect Dark, and Counter-Strike. Because it allows campers to win, because that stuff is hardcore.

What else? Tight controls for a console FPS that allows you to individually aim your weapon with smooth precision? Hah! That stuff is for noobs! Good console first-person shooters like GoldenEye, Perfect Dark, and TimeSplitters 2 that use auto-aiming and sluggish controls. Cuz that stuff is hardcore.

We internet users are so hardcore, we spend more time f***ing around on the internet and complaining about games than playing them. That is why we like broken and badly design games like Alpha Protocol over well designed and polished games like Mass Effect 2. Cuz we hardcore!

I really don't understand why people consider it the best in the series, I thought it's one of the weakest. Sure it was amazing for it's time, but it hasn't aged well and it's riddled with problems that were addressed in the sequels. 
 
The level design was repetitive as hell, because you were always going through the same dull looking corridor. It became monotonous, and worse, you had to backtrack through all of them in the later levels. You also had to fight the annoying Flood all of the time in the second-half. The Library is one of the worst levels ever in the history of video games and its the worst level in the series. The first Halo starts off great in the first half but goes downhill from there. Halo 2, 3, ODST, and Reach didn't suffer much of the same problems that plagued the first game.
 
In the multi-player department, the weapons are incredibly imbalance. The Tank is a total campfest, and the pistol made almost every other weapon in the game useless. It's the weakest out of all of the game's multi-player component. It's an extremely imbalance multi-player component. 
  
So ask, despite all of it's glaring flaws, why do you look at Halo CE as the best in the series?

I don't like Final Fantasy VIII at all. It's one of my least favorite, if not, least favorite Final Fantasy game. I was happy to see a internet reviewer called SpoonyOne to criticize and bash the game, by pointing out it's obvious flaws in the gameplay and story. I thought they were pretty funny series of reviews, even if the humor was forced and often juvenile. However, in one of the later parts of his review of FFVIII, he says: "Final Fantasy VIII sucks and you suck for liking it!" I think he went too far with that line. Even thought I don't like the game, I wouldn't attack others for liking it. It just makes you look as bad as the Final Fantasy fanboys for doing so. 
  
Now I know what a lot of you are going to say: "But it's just a joke. No it is not a joke, but a rather petty insult. It's not funny in any way at all. However, I'm surprised he manage to get a lot of support, and many of his mindless followers agree with that statement. Which I find ironic, considering he constantly lampoons Final Fantasy fanboys.
