This game looks really cool, but no one is playing it on Steam, so it'll be impossible to find online games. I realize that I'm only making the situation worse by not buying the game because no one is playing it, but I'm not going to spend money on a game that I'll not get to play.
It really needs a cheap four-pack on Steam or something, so you can buy it and gift the spare copies to friends so you can play with them.
Does this mean Square Enix will bring Final Fantasy XIV to Xbox One? They have stated in the past that they wanted to do this, but that the Xbox rules on cross platform play were preventing them from doing it. It'll be interesting to see whether Square jump on board with that or whether that ship has already sailed.
I was super confused about the weird church thing in the back of the store, too. I was thinking of relationshiping with Abigail because she has purple hair and my dude has bright green hair so it seems like they would be a perfect match. But I'm not sure about getting with someone who has a weird creepy church thing in their house.
Sounds like they might be trying to turn the Xbox One into a phone or tablet like upgrade structure, where incremental upgrades happen regularly but most software remains compatible across generations. Eventually you end up with the older generation phones being incompatible with modern software, but in the short-medium term, compatibility is retained.
It's an interesting strategy. It'll be interesting to see the details. I guess we'll learn more at E3.
