And there's still lockpicking of lockers and boxes, for some reason. It adds nothing to the game. All it does is take time. It's boring, tiresome and obnoxious. I really wish...like after the player's opened 50+ locks, give us a break, just give us steel-tipped boots and make us able to kick shit open.

Absolutely agree on this. That lockpicking minigame never changes and is just never really fun. Definitely should've been revisited somehow in this expansion.

I love the lockpicking minigame! Sure, it's boring by itself and if the world paused when you were doing it like in Skyrim or Fallout it wouldn't be that good. But it's small and fiddly and takes time, and when you're desperately trying to pick a high difficulty lock while a horde of zombies is slowly rolling in and you need to get out of there but maybe you have a few more moments... it's cool and tense.

I had the opposite experience with this game to most people. I loved it early on when weapon degradation was in full effect and it was hard to kill zombies, but the further I got in the more boring it got as those elements were removed in favor of slaughtering hundreds of virals. Was kinda hoping the expansion would add some of that early game tension back in, but it seems not.

@nevergameover: Not that I am particularly picky about how people write dates, but on a linguistic note, there are places that use dd/mm/yy and also have English as their primary language (England, for one) and people from there in my experience also say "The first of march" rather than "March first."

The reason I don't care about the order is because who is so busy that they need to make their guess about the range of dates down to a month then a day rather than a day then a month? Just read the full date, you were going to do that to figure out when it was anyway. The only format I could see it even mattering in is sorting, and then surely you want yy/mm/dd first for a chronological order anyway, so both standard formats are equally pointless.

As someone who breezed through veteran ironman with 2 deaths and only ran into technical issues on one very large mission I've already started a second playthrough. This might end up being one of my favorite games of the year. But the more I hear about other peoples experiences with it, the more I think I might have pulled a classic xcom maneuver and dodged a few bullets.

I wouldn't be able to bring myself to give the game less than 5 stars for my own experience, but maaaan, are the bugs really as bad as they sound for most people?

With Nitroplus being one of the producers on a lot of anime, I'm sad that there aren't Steins;Gate and Madoka Magica characters in the roster.

My exact thought. When he was hovering over characters and I saw "Homura" I was psyched for a second, but then was quickly saddened when it wasn't Madoka's Homura.

They do have one Urobuchi character, but I'm guessing Saya isn't the one that most people want at this point.

As much as I love the GB East crew, this QL makes it feel like they really didn't read the manual. I have only played an hour of this game, but even with that knowledge the number of times they didn't know or were flat out wrong about a game mechanic was disappointing. It wouldn't really be a problem for most games, but I think something that lives or dies by its mechanics like Tharsis needs them to be shown with more clarity in a QL.

That said, I also don't think Tharsis is a very good game, so don't take this as the ranting of a fan. I just felt compelled to comment on the fifth 'I don't know' about a core gameplay mechanic.

Hopefully the next game that gets the same amount of focus from the GBEast crew is as cool and interesting!

Personally I'm one of the players who thinks that the moral statements that the ending(s) seem to be managing to go back in time and retroactively leave a bad taste in my mouth about the entire game, but divorced from that little thing where I wish I could go and talk to the developers about what they were actually trying to say (and then argue with them!), I do really still like Life is Strange.

Two out of three is still a win! This entire saga was pretty awesome.

I've come to the conclusion that I will unironically enjoy anything at all so long as it features Austin Walker.
