You should play Stephen’s Sausage Roll if you haven’t already.

Very disappointed that nobody here has mentioned Solitairica (ie the best mobile game according to Drew).

We'll see how it all pans out, but my feeling is that Bad News will still show up on the Bombcast (and they will discuss it appropriately), but they will reserve longer discussions about said Bad News for the morning show. If so, that would make sense to me.

I’ve been more impressed with my PS5 than I was with my PS4. Faster loading, better frame rates, and a pretty cool controller feel like bigger jumps than my x360 to PS4, honestly.

I really love this thread and have had similar feelings toward this game over the past week or so when I was playing through the dlc. I was really blown away by how much they were able to capture the magic of the original game in the expansion while keeping it limited to a relatively small, dense space, and making sure that the new story (which I absolutely loved) connects back to the original story well. The new music is also phenomenal and its contextual nature (more so I think than the music in the original) means it hits so good at all the right moments. Without a doubt, Outer Wilds is in my top 5 favorite games, and if I’m honest with myself and try to disconnect a bit from some of the nostalgic elements of the other games in that list, it’s probably number 1.

@nodima: glad to hear you figured out what was causing the delay. For what it’s worth, I suddenly started experiencing input lag a month or two ago and I found that switching my TV to game mode fixed it completely. I don’t always have input lag when I boot up for some reason, but when I do, it is always fixed with game mode. Might be worth a try the next time this happens to you.

@ginormous76: yeah, I understand why this is the case for Horizon. I guess my point is that it’s not a reasonable alternative. If new gen games are $70 and last gen games are $60, then of course there should be a $10 upgrade fee. Otherwise what’s the point of the price difference? You’ll just have the Horizon situation, which on its face looks very silly to a reasonable consumer (and probably seems silly on the business side too).

Are they still charging $60 for the PS4 versions and $70 for the PS5 versions? If so, this seems fine by me. Clearly the price increase to $70 is here to stay for the new gen, so them keeping the old gen at $60 and offering a $10 upgrade seems totally fine. The alternative is to just make everything $70, which is definitely worse. Right now, Horizon Forbidden West is $60 for PS4 and $70 for PS5, even though the upgrade is free, which really makes no sense. Why would anyone buy the ps5 version of that game?

I have also had 2FA bypassed on my Sony account before. No idea how this happens, seems like a huge issue on their end. The scammer tried to charge a couple purchases to my account. The first purchase went through, but the second was flagged by my credit card company, who promptly called me. I told them I didn’t recognize the purchases and they rejected the second purchase and put a chargeback on the first purchase. Later, I was able to regain access to my account by answering security questions and resetting some info. But since I had a charge back on my account, Sony locked my account soon after and emailed me the webpage where I could reach out to customer support for chargebacks (because my account was suspended, I was not even able to start an online chat or call a representative to discuss it, so my only recourse was really to use that webpage). After reading stories online, I was certain I would need to pay back the cost to regain access to my account. To my surprise, I explained the whole situation in gritty detail on the support site and a few days later was given access to my account with no fuss. I was honestly stunned that I didn’t need to pay back. Depending on how much the purchases were for, it might be worth issuing a charge back. Like someone above me said, Sony will probably suspend your account, which is fine since you can’t access it right now anyways and it would also block the scammer from accessing it, and it might give you an opportunity to reach out to support. Just know that most likely you will have to pay Sony back for the charge back. I really think my situation is the minority situation, unfortunately. All that being said, I am kind of surprised they aren’t more helpful with just regaining access to your account. It is probably worth calling them on the phone and escalating as much as possible if you can.
