@AlisterCat: @Landon: @Pr1mus:

Sounds good, thanks for the tips guys.

I'll keep an eye on it then. It sounds like the missions don't play as big of a role as I thought, and it's more just about taking out as many zombies as you can...and having fun while doing so.

As mentioned in the title, I've never played a Dead Rising game. I did try the demo for the Case Zero that came out last year and thought it was decent. I've always been sort of scared off by the saving issues and having to die and constantly restart your game. However, with the sandbox mode in off the record, couldn't I technically start off in there, level up my guy a bunch and then head into the story? If I start having trouble, go back to sandbox, level some more and re enter the game where I left off?

I was wondering about this as well.

The open world and exploration of Dark Souls is what has me wanting to buy the game. However, I'm afraid I'll hit a point that I can't beat, will get frustrated, and then feel like I wasted my $60.

@SharkMan: Turns out your right, just looked it up here. I'd be willing to go on a limb though and say it can't compare to the PC version.

I REALLY wish there was some type of equivalent to this game on consoles.

Sounds good!

Thanks for the info. My plan was to take a lot of the 90's classic teams and substitute them in for their current day counterparts. I was a HUGE fan of the Bulls back in 90's, so I was psyched about playing as them again.

I'll be picking it up on PS3. Still debating if I should order on Amazon for the $10 giftcard.

I tried the first race of the demo tonight. It wasn't bad, but I wasn't overly impressed. I remember playing the Hot Pursuit demo last year around this time and being super psyched for the game. Not so much with this one, but maybe that'll change with a few more runs through the demo.

Picked up Batman today, probably will get Battlefield 3 as well next week.

Main game I want the most though is Skyrim, can't wait!

This thread reminds me of how excited I used to get about gaming. There were so many classic titles back in the PS1/N64 and Genesis/SNES idays.

I just can't get that "hype" for games these days. I'm excited about Skyrim, but nothing like running home from school in order to continue playing Resident Evil or Metal Gear Solid.
