Makes me sick this is becoming political. Newt Gingrich is the WORST.

Newt made it "political"? It wasn't, say, Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson doing that? Given that it, literally, is all they can do.

Hey guys? The North is a fucked up third-world. Big surprise, I know.

Fixed that one for you.

Yeah. Gotta hate stable economy, great education, and decent civil liberties.

I'd much rather live in the disgusting, poverty infested, racist Jesusland that is the south. Wooohoo guns!

I don't have cops here threatening to do away with my First Amendment rights. I'm allowed to consume salt if I so choose to do so. I'm allowed to own a gun if I so choose to do so. You actually want to argue that the South has fewer civil liberties? Are you insane? I've lived in both places --- clearly, unlike you --- and I have experience with both.

As far as racism, the North has dramatically MORE racism than the South. It's night and day. You don't see people calling for the attacking of Koreans or Jews for imagined slights. Can, say, NYC, make similar claims?

No, it cannot.

I lived in NJ for a year. I haven't seen so much racism against so few blacks as I did in my time there.

No Caption Provided

But back in the summer of 2008 when the average U.S. gasoline price hit a record high of $4.11, Fox said that "no President has the power to increase or to lower gas prices" and the only way to reduce our vulnerability to gas price spikes is to use less oil.

tl;dr Evidence #8948592 that Fox News is trash.

MMFA. *chortle*

Couldn't find a real source, eh?

You mean, beyond the youtube link that shows the actual Fox News broadcasts?

Yes, because the You Tube video covers over 100 hours of broadcasting on all channels. Sure.

Try and find somebody competent or respected. MMFA? Get that nonsense out of here. Let the home of the paranoid hypocrite David wallow in its own anti-Semitic and laughable idiocy.

Fucking speculators. There need to be reform, or just make speculating as a on it as a commodity illegal. Without speculators prices would be at around $2.25 national average.

Yes, speculators are why supply is low and demand is high. Easy to forget that. Imagine if ANWR was opened up as Bush asked for 10 years ago. It would be producing oil for the market...well, right about now.

Yes, and shipping it off to China. That's never mentioned by those on the right for some reason.

It's called a market. Let's say 10M barrels of our oil goes to China. That is 10M barrels from elsewhere not going there.

You think that would have no bearing on oil prices?

The issue is that demand far outpaces supply.

You'd think the electric car would be making a huge stand here. However gas and oil companies really don't want that to happen so you know they are spending whatever they can to keep that technology down. I hate fucking greed.

Oil and gas companies prevent anybody from buying them? The Volt has recalled more calls than it sold to date. That is nobody's fault but Chevy. The cars being overpriced, fire hazards, and not terribly high quality is why they are bombing.

Also, any ideas how to handle the issue of overloading an already very old and creaky electricity infrastructure in this country?

That "Stand your ground" law is complete bullshit.

The stand your ground law is completely irrelevant to this case, even the creator of the law is in agreement of that. Stand your ground is when somebody is assaulting you, not running away from you.

Which is why it's bullshit. It's successfully being used in cases where it shouldn't be. Some guy shot a bunch of people because he "thought they were gang members." and he got off because of "stand your ground." Another case, a guy seen somebody stealing from his car, so logically, he chased the guy down multiple blocks and stabbed him to death, got off on "stand your ground."

Given that he has not been charged with anything, much less had a trial, the law is irrelevant here.

Stand Your Ground simply means that if somebody breaks into your house and you shoot them, you're not criminally liable because you didn't try to run away first. Forget that. It's the most just defense law out there.
