That pales in comparison to some of the matrixes I have to deal with as an engineer for what should be simplistic tasks. Look up the Citrix logon process, only covers the base processes and is twice as complex.

But yea, it's still pretty bad.

I hope everyone that subscribed was being altruistic :)

I'm going to ring up a subscription soon, just having a problem with my PayPal account right now. I've enjoyed their podcasts, for free, for a long time and gotten a lot of joy from this site. But I'd be lying if I said I wasn't doing this just for my own edification. ;)

I think it's sweet, but the woman would never allow it. Besides, there's so much artwork on the walls in this apartment I don't even know where I could put it.

I will never tire of the zombie genre. Books, film, television, games - I've eaten it up since I was a kid. :)

I doubt it. We will have to figure out some weird formula involving the current 360 install base, how many will actually buy a Kinnect, and how many of those will want this game - throw in the significant other factor in their somewhere. I'm pretty sure Nintendo will publish several games that have/will sell more.

I'd suggest Lord of the Rings Online. It's free now, and has the most polished content aside from WoW - it's also much more fun to play with a friend.  It even has instanced PvE similar to WoW battlegrounds (called skirmishes) and some limited PvP. It's easily the most similar game to WoW, and yet very different. Pretty as shit running DX10 on the highest settings, especially the Shire. The controls are a bit floaty, though, and combat is a lot more involved.

The rest of what's out there is generally garbage in my opinion. EVE is great but if you're into PvE content it will almost certainly bore you.

@ThePhenomenal1: I have to agree. I'm usually very forgiving of awkward design decisions that don't exactly pan out to greatness, but Other M was really just a catastrophe of bad design and story telling ideas.

Sorry to gloss over the thread, but Nintendo is still lord and master. Lets not forget about Capcom, Sega, etc. Japanese developers may no longer enjoy the lion's share, but they're hardly hurting.

EDIT: I realize I named publishers, but they still tap many Japanese development studios.

For me, no. I haven't come across a game that I was so interested in that picking it up at midnight would have made my experience with it any better. But many people in some professions eat up midnight launches (my local Gamespot literally had over 200 members of the local police and fire fighting forces grabbing Halo Reach, for example).
