So this is a preliminary list of games that I've played so far this year that are my favorites. No actual order yet (few more things to play) but here are my favorites so far. I'll also add a short blurb about why I like each one.
Probably the most fun with a porn game I've ever had. Its fun the dialog has a very abrasive western tone to it. The match 3 part of the game was also actually surprisingly fun.
Life is Strange is cool on so many levels. Disclaimer only have played the first episode (waiting for all 5 to drop to proper play it) but game really hooked me from the word go.
Heavensward expands and improves on almost every element of the base game. Very fun and positions FFXIV to have a very bright future.
Resident Evil Remake HD was a fun trot back through the early 00's and showed me how much this original entry into the series holds up even all these years later.
The 3rd (and hopefully final) release of Dead or Alive it yet again improves on the previous game adding new characters and stages and costumes... fuck so many costumes.
I know this game was divisive but boy do I think that it improved on EVERY element of the original.
It was a tough task to somehow top the 2011 reboot of Mortal Kombat and yet...they did it. Fantastic game. Lot of hours online put into this one.
The girls of Senran Kagura in all their busty goodness on a PS4 system? Yes please. A much improved version of Shinovi Versus on the PS Vita I can't wait until I get a proper localization so I can enjoy the story as well.
What should be a schlocky beat em' up that is just about boobs and gore is actually a pretty damn solid action game. Surprisingly so. Well worth a play.
My first time playing a Deception game. A very very fun game. Seeing your maniacal death traps work in all of their macabre beauty is a thing to behold.
