I'm not trying to shit on Abby's play or anything cause she does awesome. But her coincidentally going down to no visible health like 4 times in a row seems borderline impossible. She only time she dies in the whole video is from instant kill moves.
Definitely some fudging in the game to reduce one hit kills from normal attacks when you're in the green, which is just good game design, really. Tons of games do things like that to avoid feeling super unfair. It's particularly good in horror games, because it's a lot scarier to be on a single pixel of life than to have a bigger chunk that is still smaller than the minimum damage you can take, and gameplay-wise it doesn't really change the balance.
You're definitely not wrong...but four time in a row!?! Also I there was definitely one, maybe two times where she was orange health when it happened and she still didn't die.

Just so everyone one knows, only true deaths spread dragonrot. If you die, and respawn it won’t spread. This allows you to pretty much keep attempting mini bosses, retreat and rest if you need too. Bosses lock you in with a fog door though. This took a lot of anxiety off me lol.
You're technically right, the problem is that the shit stacks up. So that when you finally dodie, you'll get like 3 or 4 dragonrot notifications all at once. You're only postponing the inevitable.
Seriously if you guys like Mike, go check out the series he does with Mary Kish on GS where they play through every main series Resident Evil. It's pretty great.
I think people were unprepared with how much the adaptive difficulty was gonna adjust Re2. Look no further than her taking out the super lickers in the lab with a single flame round.
Theres a reason so many people say they feel like they were just barely scraping by a lot of the time. The adaptive stuff is just masterfully done.
Yeah I dunno man, she is about to head into the sewers with no health and no ammo with a single save slot. That adaptive difficulty better kick in hard or she is in some serious trouble.
The combination of Abby using a ton of ammo, and also only saving on a single slot is harrowing. It's not really that tough a game, but it's definitely possible to fuck yourself over.
