If it's a question of quality, like you're worried if the writing will be terrible and the game play won't be good enough to make it worth while, you should wait until reviews are out until you buy the game.
He handles the jokey parts of the game immaturely, because that's the point of ass-shots and seeing through clothes. As someone else has brought up, these kinds of jokes are accepted in a lot of Japanese media, and I think we should respect that different cultures can make light of plenty of things that we can find offensive.
I think we just have to chalk this up to different opinions because I thought the rapey and "mature" stuff in ground zeroes was handled fine. Yes, it was disturbing.. but that's the point right? Was it poorly written? How do you write disturbing scenes correctly? Yes, I have issues with the general writing and dialogue in Metal Gear the same way I can't stand most english anime dubs (Man, if you don't think Metal Gear is anime, you need to watch some damn anime). But I think if you've gone to the point where you're playing the fifth game in the series, you're probably used to it anyway.
I can understand that people want to enjoy the rest of the game without it being ruined but there are ways around that. I think you just have to ask yourself if it's worth it to skip those parts of the game to experience the rest of the game.
