I think it's a good move for them but hasn't changed my mind about getting the PS4 instead. PS+ is rad, not that fussed about either set of exclusives, I don't want a Kinect, PS4 is cheaper and Xbox One is ugly as all hell. The used game thing was never an issue for me.
Maybe I wasn't paying enough attention but it's interesting to see people show up all of a sudden regretting the U-turn and criticising others for not being 'ready for the future' or whatever.

I'm going Zidane cos FFIX is my favourite in the series and he's just a stand-up dude. Unlike Cloud, Squall and (although I love VI to bits too) Terra, he only has two sequences of moping in which the party members tell him to shut the fuck up and so he does. No contrived inner darkness for him and he's the fucking Angel of Death.
It was close between him, Terra and Lightning though. Sad to see no love for Firion though, I really didn't like FFII but I played a lot of Firion when I played Dissidia and he seemed like a cool enough guy.
Anyone who voted for Tidus is a bad person, though.
Sorry if I missed this somewhere, but who does Chrom marry as a default if you don't level him with anyone?
Just out of curiosity. Chom and my MC got married almost straight away. I get the Sumia thing but I just had a hard time seeing her with Chrom when her profile reads she has 'Shockingly low self-esteem'. I felt the guy deserves a lady who's got her shit together.
If you never pair Chrom up with any of the ladies he can get to S with at all (or they're dead/already married) then it's a random village girl who gives Lucina shitty stats. If all of the girls are at equal affection then it's in this order, I believe: Sumia, Maribelle, Sully, Olivia, Female Avatar.
In answer to the thread, Tharja first playthrough, Chrom second (obviously was a lady for that one) and Tiki third. Yeah, I've been playing this game waaay too much...
I don't think I've seen anyone mention how it looks. Which is a shame cos that's one of the worst things about it. It's so goddamn ugly! Who thought that two-tone thing was a good idea?
Skill level: 'Decent', I suppose? I've had the game for a couple months now but didn't play online till I got the EU version. I expect my prior experience to be evened out as straight up better fighting game players show up.
Specialise your main character. Choose something you want him to do and stick with it and dump stats toward that too. You usually want a buff/debuff spell on him as well. I had him be a physical guy with debuffs.
In terms of getting extra turns, critical physical hits > hitting elemental weaknesses. At least once you get out of early game anyway.
Buffs and debuffs! Use them! If you've played a Persona game or another SMT game, you should know this already anyway. You can stack them up to 5 times, which becomes very useful.
Don't be afraid to use a FAQ. This is a hard game.
Switch Magatamas (you'll know what this means soon enough) when you're one fight away from levelling up to get the good skills from Magas with bad stats.
Don't worry too much about the Labyrinth of Amala (again, you'll soon know what this means). It's for people going for the True End. I wouldn't recommend going for that ending the first playthrough.
And finally, since I'm assuming you're playing the EU version cos 'Lucifer's Call', ignore Dante. He sucks.
