I think you at least have to beat the Heaven bonus boss before Margaret gives you the invitation (on 3/20 after you get Orb of Sight). That's presumably so that it's out of the way for the encounter. I'm not sure about if you have to have done the rest cos I always did.

So you should be fine. I only ever did the bonus bosses once a new dungeon opened anyway. Never spend more time in the TV than you have to.

I'm not one for this 'console wars' nonsense but Microsoft don't seem to be doing themselves many favours. Having it always be online as a requirement seems needlessly hard-line. Of course, it might not even end up being that way but we'll see.

Probably not. I only connect to the Internet on either console right now if I want to buy something. Not a huge multiplayer guy and if I want Netflix, I'll use my laptop. I don't care for Microsoft's multimedia box approach. I understand why others might be into it though. Just not for me.

No, I was not smart enough to think to do that. I could think of one possible reason: You'd have to import EVERY game you want if it's not on eShop, even the ones that do come out in Europe in a timely manner.
Regardless, I'm importing every console going forward, just to be safe. Seems like a worthwhile investment since most of the games I like to play are, for my sins, Atlus games or games that take forever to come over here.

Bringing it back to the actual game, I'm not as bothered about only being able to play it in two years or more than if it were a Persona game.

@mwng - Pre-ordered it directly from Ghostlight. Got it on Tuesday too.

@hailinel - I wasn't referring to the release when I mentioned Atlus, I was talking about the incoming patch which, as the post above says, is for Atlus to sort out.

I know they don't have an EU branch but the fact that they don't show any interest of opening one up despite all of the obvious issues they've had getting their games out here tells me all I need to know as to how they consider the territory. I don't buy that they lack the funds. From the number of people I've seen complaining to Zen/Ghostlight/whoever, a small branch would easily make that money back and some.

As I said in the other thread, they're pretty easily avoidable bugs (except for the name one but your name is rarely used anyway, most people use your 'nickname'). I've still put nearly 15 hours in and am enjoying it and only ran into the freeze cos I tested it myself. Still doesn't excuse shipping a broken game though.

While it does totally suck that it's broken after such a long wait, I'd played 12 hours without running into either bug. I rarely have enough demons to call for reinforcements and if I do, it's not worth it. And the Auction thing strikes me as similar to the Fusion Mistakes in Persona games (neither mechanic should exist, they're dumb) and it hasn't happened to me and seems to be rare.

A more minor bug I've noticed is that the name input for the protagonist is broken. So when people refer to you by your first name, they actually say your second name and you'll notice on the profile screen that Naoya is called 'Naoya <Protag first name>. This is not me misreading which name input was which at the beginning, by the way.

So the bugs are avoidable and shouldn't mean you can't finish the game as some have suggested (the GL blog even said that too). Again, no excuse for it being broken after such a long wait but I'm not flipping out too hard.

I've never seen him or really heard him say anything other than through all the hate he gets. He seemed fine and provided a funny or two, although he needs a haircut and a shave. I thought he sounded a little 'far-out' when talking about virtual reality but, hey, he knows more about how close we are to that than I do so whatever.
