I would love for Rare Replay to get a PC port. One of the few first party Xbox Exclusives to not get ported and I was always annoyed by that until I picked up an XSX in January.

@bakoomerang: I completely agree. It feels weird that the choice of quality vs performance is being left to the consumer and I am curious what information developers have on which of the options most players use, but regardless, the new consoles should have games optimized to the highest quality. I keep expecting that once games leave the previous generation behind, 4k/60 will follow, but Redfall is apparently proof that I should never assume that. I can't help but wonder if having to produce games for the XSX and XSS is holding back the generation a little.

I'm still incredibly excited for Redfall, and have been replaying my favorite Arkane games (Dishonored 1/2 & Prey) the last few weeks in preparation. It comes out on my birthday, and I still have plans with friends to play the campaign on launch day BUT this is definitely a bummer.

But I played those games I mentioned at 30 fps at launch and really don't think this game will be that much affected by the framerate? Like from the footage I've seen, there never seemed to be an instance where you need to have perfect accuracy or have incredible reflexes or anything. The game doesn't have PvP so no one will be getting an unfair advantage either. So, all in all, I am disappointed, but it will not change how I play this game at launch since it is one of my most anticipated outside of Tears of the Kingdom.

@ginormous76: Whoops, missed that mention of currency! And yeah I should have been more specific with my unemployment mentions. I know unemployment is low, but there are still plenty of unemployed people looking for employment opportunities depending where you live. I was more trying to just say the employer probably won't have a problem finding someone to hire.

I'm feeling pretty similar to @borgmaster, except I think more of the jokes landed for me. Although, I'm glad you mentioned the macaroni bit because that one went right over my head and I ended up being annoyed that I couldn't back out of the conversation halfway through.

All in all though, I think the mini dungeons really worked well, and the dialogue was funny and short without being overly quip-y. Combat was as good as it needed to be in most cases, but I found some of the boss battles to be pretty big spikes in difficulty- like the Toxic Stag and Liz. And switching between Portals, Watering Can, Sword could be cumbersome at times. I was happy to use the bumpers to swap back and forth, but I sometimes had a hard time differentiating what I had equipped from the sprite. I know I could always enter the menu to change, I just never got used to it since the game was so short and it only asked you to swap between all things towards the end.

All in all, I think it is the perfect length for what it is. I did not spend much time with the Binding of Isaac-style mode that opens up post-game, but it was neat that it was there for whoever wants it.

I'd recommend it to most people who enjoy the 2d-Zelda games or if someone is looking for a game that implements humor effectively- 8/10.

I've gotten heavily invested in Horizon: Forbidden West despite being pretty vocal about my dislike of the first game. I hope to finally start ignoring the multitude of side quests that game offers and just sit down and beat it before Tears of the Kingdom comes out. Or before I lose steam on it.

I, too, plan on dabbling in MLB the show. I haven't played one since '19 but just got a series x and am happy to see it coming to gamepass.

And since Monkey Island was just voted as the Gamepass Game club game, I'm happy to finally see what Guybrush has been up to this month.

I'll say more once spoilers are lifted tomorrow, but I just played through this in one sitting and really really enjoyed it.

I was in a fairly similar situation recently. I got hired as a paid intern for a company 6 months ago, but started to hate the job, the pay, the hours & the work from home life. So, I started looking for a new gig, two months ago. I just hit my 6 month mark at the current gig this past Friday, and they offered me a full time role, which I ended up turning down, which ended my employment with them right then and there.

I decided to make the plunge because I realized that I spend way too much time working to not be happy with my work life. And it prevented me from being more helpful around the house, meaning my partner was being heavily relied upon to do household chores like cleaning, groceries and laundry, meaning my home life was always starting to be strained some. So, I 100% back your decision to find something else. I'm not sure where you are, but there is a ridiculous amount of unemployed folks in the US, so I am sure the business will have no problem finding someone to replace you. You should have no problem finding somewhere that values you and where you value the work you are doing. You deserve more.
