Dark Souls. The Prepare to Die Edition really revitalized my love for this game. However, technical issues (on consoles at least) still can bug the hell out of me from time to time.

To address the topic: They did say right out the gate there would be heavy spoilers in the podcast, then Jeff - in his usual manner - added some snarky remarks that were intentionally over the top as much as they were illogical, if you take into consideration how much the GB crew then went on to talk about story-reveals, wtf moments and such. All of which would of course be ruined by a premature spoiler-reveal for anybody that hadn't played discussed games yet.

So what did I do? Didn't listen to the deliberations, of course. I haven't played Sleeping Dogs, Spec Ops, Far Cry 3 and AC 3 yet and simply don't want to know what happens in those games beforehand. Avoiding spoilers seems to be the right and, quite frankly, "fair" way to approach these or any game. Already made the mistake and - despite warning - read Patrick's article covering Spec Ops a few months back, spoiling myself to a point where I know my experience won't be quite as emotional as it could've been ... heck, I know it WOULD have been.

Again: My mistake entirely. I do give the crew props for addressing the issue beforehand, giving out a warning even in their GOTY podcasts. And no, I do not think people caring about spoilers are doing it wrong. Still: No way Patrick gets to be blamed for this one, since it was made clear from the very beginning spoilers will be part of the conversation.

Yeah, it's crazy how little interest everything shown so far has evoked in me. I loved both Dead Space and the sequel, but all these trailers just paint an image of this new instalment that's kind of the antithesis of everything I care about in these games. Wouldn't say the monster-design falls into that category though, I always found that to be a rather weak spot of the series, with only very few exceptions.

Maybe it's just terrible marketing, though. Maybe the final product will indeed deliver - trailers can actually suck as much as they can get the hype train moving. If a simple "don't get your hopes up" is what they're aiming for - I'm getting the message.

I'll prepare a Salata Caravella with that extra ounce of Gerstmonnaise that is going to blow this board away.

And the Dreamcast died, your point is?

That the Dreamcast died, I suppose.

That finale and Duck's end sure had me on the verge.

Also: I shed a tear of joy or two at how awesome this series is during the confrontation in the hotel.

Great job, Telltale. My GOTY for sure.

The last couple of weeks had gems like Farm Simulator, Aerofly, Sleeping Dogs ... so, no, I guess I still like them quite a lot. Although I do tend to skip a lot more of them recently.

I had rather extreme issues concerning download speed from the PSN as well, until I stumbled upon a certain thread on this very board.

Long story short: Ever since I began running Privoxy on my PC and run my PS3 "through it" I download at full-speed. All the time. Good stuff.
