It's been the exact opposite for me. Not being able to just go pick up new gear killed off my compulsive need to early adopt. Then I took a good look at the current and upcoming games I'm interested in and they're all last-gen. I'm good until at least the midlife console refresh.
Or until the Super Switch. I'm just a man. I'm not made out of willpower.
Good stuff. VIII was my GOTY back in 2017. I'm glad it sounds like this installment keeps that sense of "What mystery am I going to uncover next?" that kept the last game so engaging.
In order this year: Cold Steel III, P5 Royale, Tales of Beseria, into Cold Steel IV which I'm currently playing. And then some Mario games with the boy sprinkled in. So one game from 2020. Getting old really cuts into your gaming time.
@efesell: The radio silence from both Sony and NISA on this has been really strange. I guess I'll just ride it out and see how it ends. Maybe the 6:00 store update will fix it.
This is such a bummer. I made sure I had a clear schedule for most of today, brewed up a pitcher of iced tea, grabbed some snacks and was ready to put a little time in. Then I was punched in the neck with crushing disappointment by a never ending 'Check Back Later' message on the download page.
I know it's my own fault for preordering a game, especially on a storefront that doesn't offer refunds, but I just figured Sony would have this whole purchase games digitally thing figured out. (Rant over.)
Anybody else patiently waiting for this problem to get sorted out?
