I play strictly on consoles (Desks are for work and big picture mode is a god damn nightmare.) and this is the first new generation in forever where I have zero interest in buying the new models until at least the first hardware revisions launch.

Maybe the crew is right.

There's no Falcom games. Anything without Falcom games in inherently terrible.

Yep. Leaving behind the "These are the games I'm interested in over the next couple of months. I need to try and make time to play all of them and if I don't I feel kind of bad for missing out on the hype." schedule was the biggest adjustment I had to make during the transition to old man what still likes the games. They don't have an expiration date and there's no penalty if it takes you a few months to finish one. Do what you like when you like.

Texture is important.

Always a dunker, but with the smallest non shot glass I have in the house so I don't have to pour too much milk down the drain. Oreos dipped in milk are delicious. Milk with Oreo crumbs in it is gross.

I'm about halfway through replaying 2 on PS4 so I should be finished just in time to not worry about the demo and immediately jump into the full game.

This is the most excited I've been for a new game in a long time.

I can't imagine what the poor sap that got assigned the work on Enchanted Arms must have done to piss off Phil Spencer that badly.

It's still too early to tell. What's the pricing structure going to be? Will the games run on a half-ass wireless connection? Will the library of games available the in first couple of years be big enough to get the "enthusiast" crowd to commit to the service? Will increasing bandwidth vs. poor broadband infrastructure end up making it cost prohibitive? There's just so many questions that still need to be answered.

Motion control was the next big thing. Lots of people predicted that games would be almost exclusive to phones a few years age. Apple was going to kill consoles. Microsoft was going in the direction of cloud computing with the launch of the Xone and that went over so poorly they had to abandon most of it. VR is still a very fringe thing. This could end up how most of us play games in ten years, but it could also end up being just another forgotten dongle in a box somewhere next to a bunch of UMD movies and a Connect camera.
