Also remember that a Nintendo online family membership is $35 for eight people. Less than $5 each a year is a very good deal.

Go to COSTCO. Have a chest freezer. Try not to have too much condiment cruft or leftovers build up in the fridge (I'm so old I sometimes still call it an Ice Box - not because I ever used a real ice box but that's how some family referred to it and it stuck a bit). So 30:70.

@reap3r160: IOI has this quote on their website:

"On PC, we are continuing to work on a solution with our partners to allow PC players who own HITMAN 1 or HITMAN 2 to import locations from those games into HITMAN 3 at no additional cost.

We can guarantee that players will NOT need to repurchase the games.

Until we roll that out in the coming weeks, the HITMAN 1 GOTY Access Pass will be free to own for all PC players who pre-purchase or purchase HITMAN 3 in the first 10 days after release."

So. If you've got 3 on the EGS get the H 1 GOTY AP (ouch, that hurts to look at) now since it's free (for, what, 5ish more days?) and why not. Hang out on the H 3 AP H 2 S or H 3 AP H 2 G purchase because that "guarantee" word up there sounds like, well a guarantee.

Right... Lets see if a close reading of the web page posted up top can reveal anything (no, I'm not saying this is a good deal for PC players, but...)

1) If you get H3 during the first 10 (ten) days you get all the H1 levels and content free (since the H1 GOTY access pass is free for that time) OR if you got H1 GOTY when it was free a while back on the EGS.

2) You're going to have to buy either the H2 standard or H2 Gold (regular levels or regular levels plus the expansion stuff) pass. This puppy will be 80% off for the first 14 days after H3 release.

3) WE DON'T KNOW WHAT 80% OFF MEANS. If you go by the H2 Gold Edition price on Steam then that means it's gonna be $20, but this isn't the game just the access pass. Shrug. Assume $20 to be safe.

4) I'm going with 99.9% that levels you own on Steam will come into H3 when it launches there, becase of this quote: "...we detect what you already have installed for HITMAN 2 and can make the corresponding Access Pass available for no additional cost on the same store."

I, personally, am going to kill my EGS preorder and get it on my XBOX (since I'm a crazy man who has all the same progression on both platforms)... will I miss all the pretty things my video card can do... yeah, but I'll see them in a year (actually a bit longer as I'll get it on Steam during a sale)...

IOI is a little(ish) studio who bought themselves out of a company that didn't seem super psyched about what any of their non-core studios were doing and I cannot imagine that this is really the way they WANTED to do this, but, here we are.

Both my wife and I use Xbox Elite controllers (v1) and they've held up great. I love the heft and, well, everything about them (the "dish" d-pad is my favorite thing) - and being able to put the stick press onto paddles on the back of the controller is really nice. We've got a whole mess of rechargable batteries (for all of our things that need batteries) and a four battery charging station and it works out perfectly.

Grand Prix Legends by Papyrus for PC, 1998. So, so good. So, so hard. It is simply the best.

@humanity: They definitely (definitively? :-) ) talked about it (at least in the context that it was a remake more than a remaster [which 2 and {less so, 3} are])... Look, I love it (and others do as well) but I suspect we are a... pretty small group honestly...

I hate the race on Classic this time almost more than the original version (but, at least, I don't have to figure out slowdown settings for DOSbox to replay it now)...

Lots of good discussion in here... but I did notice one thing: "We're doubling down on reruns of COPS and Cheaters." Um. What?

Maybe that's an attempt at a joke there at the end and it really means "Yeah, no, y'all didn't go for that last time." But... I'm not sure.

Cheaters. Ugh. COPS. Double UGH!

For me I only watched Extended Play/XPlay and Sasuke so I skipped past the slime...

Which reminds me I do wish there was an easy way to see Sasuke here in the US (I mean American Ninja Warrior is alright, but it's no reason to completely hide new seasons of the original)...

Not one I had, but I heard it from one of the techs at Spectrum Holobyte back in the Falcon 3 days when I was a sysop on the Game Deveplopers forum on CIS... (Hi Center, wheverer you are!)

Center: How can I help you?

Customer: I can't get the game to install.

Center: Are you getting an error message?

Customer: Not really... I put the first disk in and typed install and it made some noise for a while and then it asked for disk 2, so I put that in and hit Enter and it made some noise for a while and I thought it wanted disk 3 but I can't fit it into the drive...

<Center bangs head on table>
