That was fantastic, I absolutely adored the effects. You've convinced me to create a Youtube account on the basis of me following you. Keep up the great work!

The term exists, my ignorance I guess. But look, if you don't want to do it - don't. It looks like you've already made up your mind at this point, man. All the potential help you could gain from this thread long went out the window. Either way, I hope things work out for you. It sucks to be partitioned from your family. As everyone has been saying, the best way to end this bad blood is for you to make the first step. Be the bigger man, and move on with your life.

@HitmanAgent47: Can I please have the term sniper defined by a published mental health journal, and not self-help speakers please? I can make up terms for people I dislike too.

But there's the issue. You've clearly defined the problems you've had with your family. You're saying you've been treated like the black duckling, and your only response is to roll around in the mud. Everyone here has stated the obvious numerous times. By all accounts, you've failed to listen. Come page 20, everyone will be stating what has been said before. If you're incapable of taking that advice and practising it (you WERE asking for advice) then the only demon you have is yourself. Until you're capable of taking judgement from others, I wouldn't even bother touching other issues. At all.

So let me get this right. You're tired of being segregated and hate being treated differently. Your solution to this is to NOT attend the funeral. From what I've read from your posts, you use a weird militant psychology to assess your family's behaviour. Use your head, champ. What will happen to you if you DON'T attend? This isn't rocket science, you will be further segregated and you will become even more miserable. You're not winning any friends by being antisocial.

If I were you, I'd deny taking the CPU (which frankly, is absolutely stunning that's needed) and attend on your own accord. See what I underlined there? Your own. I can't stress that enough, if you want to mend your inter-family relationships and slay your demons, start there. Not with some perverted sense of misguided justice that, essentially, is cutting your nose off to spite your face.

I'm a HUGE offender. I bought Persona 3 FES a year and a half ago, and I still haven't completed it due mainly to reason #2.

I'm absolutely atrocious at multitasking. If the game requires a certain amount of concentration I'll focus WAY too much on the game and I'll have a difficult time putting together a logical and coherent sentence. I can't even talk on vent while using WoW. More often than not, I'll find myself jumping around Dalaran. After about two hours I'll realize what I'm doing and attempt to do something. Only for the process to continue.

Edit: changed a few words to make it easier to understand.

If I find the game enjoyable, I'll play it in three different segments. Initially I'll play it on easy to get the basics of the mechanics/story. Afterwards I'll play it on the highest difficulty. Then if I feel compelled enough, I'll replay on easy.

" When it comes to games that have an online component that I intend on competing in, I usually play on the hardest difficulty. It's like training wheels for the online world. But I do see where you're coming from. And when it comes to games whose online components I have no vested interest in... I guess I still play towards the hardest difficulty. I'm pretty good at shooters, so I appreciate the challenge. I recently played through ODST for the first time and started out on Heroic. Well worth it. "

I've got a differing opinion on that. After I finished MW2 on Veteran, during multiplayer I was highly cautious and spent most of my time taking things REALLY slowly. I was just so used to bots lining me up in their sights and finishing me off in two taps. It sounds counter intuitive, but after I played through Modern Warfare on easy (all anecdote obviously, take it for what it's worth) there was a linear increase in my ability.

During my playthrough in easy, I found that I was far more aggressive; which is suitable for the multiplayer aspect. I was checking corners and systematically taking care of the dudes shooting me. That's in contrast to hiding behind a desk for fifteen seconds, jumping up and shooting a guy before repeating the process. It could just be how atrocious I am at games though :P.

There's a franchise in Australia called Gametraders. Not only do they sell current-gen consoles and games, but they also deal with retro material. When I was last there, it wasn't unusual to see a healthy supply of Atari, PS1 and Sega Megadrive games/consoles.

I remember reading your blog a few months ago and loving it (in a non-sadistic way!), I'm glad things are going well for you.

Edit: I removed an exclamation mark because I'm that superficial.
