@lawgamer: You could try being polite and declining or following along. No one is asking you to dedicate your life to the lord just show a little gratitude to the big dude. If you would rather not, politely decline or ask that someone else say grace while you stay respectfully quiet.

Probably coming off as condescending but I've never encountered someone making that situation out to be some sort of burden.

Damnit when Ben laughs in the background I keep thinking it's Alex for a brief moment.

But Ben seems like a swell fit. Looking forward to more of him and seeing what our new Beast member brings to the table.

If Vinny practiced defense at all he'd be unstoppable. Dan seems actually pretty good at blocking but Vinny leaves himself open. Dan finally figured that out and is punishing Vinny by just being super aggressive.

Not sure if its the fight stick or just where he is at with the game but that's his biggest weakness that I see at this point. Im sure he'll also be more aggressive agajnst Dan once he gets his fight stick sighted in.

Do all shirts fit the same? I purchased shirts in the past and expected the same fit when I got my The Run shirt, but it was much larger than expected at medium. Don't want to make the same mistake.

Nice. The quick look impressed me so I picked up the game on Steam. I just upgraded to a Surface Book from a Pro and it's great on there. I keep the new Bluetooth Xbone controller in my messenger bag so I can pull that out and play a bit of this while I'm out and about. Lots of fun.

I wish the indie game scene didn't revolve so heavily around the flavor of the month mentality. I remember back in the early 360 days when the promise of indie games was people making stuff that had never been done before and taking risks no one else would take. Fast forward 10 years and the reality of indie gaming is it looks a lot like low budget AAA games where everyone seems to be canabizing each other's ideas and trying to cash in on the flavor of the month. Having been through the period where every other indie game was a variation on tower defense, then the period where every other indie game was an 8 bit platformer and now the period where every other indie game is a rogue like with random loot drops I am sad at how quickly the indie scene has devolved into a me too poaching match. Obviously there are great indie games and developers who still aspire to the early ideals, but the wheels of business have turned indie games into the very thing those developers decried a decade ago. There are too many indie games now that are just trying to be "The Next (insert popular game here)" and AAA games have embraced innovation and experimentation in a way that puts most modern indies to shame. It's incredibly disappointing to see what has become of the dream of anyone being able to make their own games.

There is still plenty of that. There's a value to both sides, to truly innovative titles and iterative titles that build on what we've learned as a collective industry.

This game is a lot of fun and does a lot of clever things to improve upon the genre, and I'm glad for it as a result.

I also don't go out playing every indie game/roguelike out there so that helps. I see where you are coming from but for me, I think it's more an issue of exposure than development.

I wish they had toggled it on and off because the difference isn't all that noticeable.

It's highly dependent on the game. Only games that were a bit of a shitshow before are seeing any major advantage due to the way that the engines in console games are generally tuned (locked framerate at 30, regardless of the amount of processing power you throw at it) and the fact that most games are pretty good at maintaining the performance goal.

Wow. This looks and sounds great. The color and music reminds me of what Blood Dragon was going for.

Edit: Just played it for awhile. This game really, really needs a rear view mirror.

Or just better audio cues. Being able to hear something behind you, hear it winding up for an attack, and then being able to intuitively time a dash would be nice. Seems like you just need to keep looking around. Jeff was starting to figure that out later when he started flicking around to look around and behind him as he was moving around.

I wonder if turning down the music would help significantly with that.

Regardless it looks awesome.
