I think this is by design.

I guess this could be considered as a suggestion for being able to inter-change between the two display modes. :)

I think you got your info wrong. Intel is about to release a new GPU on the market based around their multicore CPUs. Its called Larrabee. It is supposed to go head-to-head with Nvidia and ATi in the GPU race.

eVGA is a 3rd party video card builder. They take the core components of Nvidia cards, tweak them to their likings and release them with their brands. Beside being partners with Nvidia, they have nothing to do with the company.

I could see them release Larrabee-based cards in the future if Intel can prove to be a good competitor to the other too. :)

I liked the story and the world but HATED the controls and the interface.

I like to adhere to the convention that the the right analog stick needs to be the camera control OR to "roll away from danger" (God of War, Ninja Gaiden, etc.). None of the camera angles they provide is good enough and it is far from being smart. It gets stuck on walls, it goes completely crazy if you try to change the view too fast (read: 180°).

Also there is just no feedback when hitting an enemy when you use the analog stick. I found myself just randomly poking and rotating the thing. Kinda like button mashing but worse since there are no buttons involved.

Missile flinging enemies are also... I've yet to see more annoying enemies in any other game of the genre... Nope, the bowmen in God for War are nothing in comparison. Nope the shamans in Ninja Gaiden are a piece of cake too if you compare it to this. The missile enemies in Two Human are like 200 meters away from you and they shoot homing missiles so not only does your gun only shoot at like 10 meters in front of you (bullets magically disappear into thin air beyond that), but you have to walk towards the missile robot and he constantly runs away from you!

For the UI, I can get to the Inventory screen in one button press but I can't get back to the game from there without mashing the B button like a maniac and wait for each menu animation to complete and fade away. Also, the wheel-like menu has nice effects but its clunky as hell. Its not fluid, there's like a one second wait between each menus and its really annoying when you just want to change you weapon or check your loot.

I find it sad that such great design and story is wasted by so much clunker in the gameplay and user interface. :(

If I remember well, the game always has a fear factor because the enemies will spawn again at places you think its safe. Although the original (unpatched) version did that way too much and you always ended up wasting all of your ammunition and had a hard time finding more.

They did the same thing with Bioshock but its more realistic because they appear only a while after you're gone and they're always looking around the stuff you broke or the people you shot down to see if there's any loot. Such great games! :)

I have an ATi on my current system and I don't think I'll ever buy another ATi again...

I have a X1900XTX and after a year of normal use (with almost no gaming!) I started seeing artifacts on my screen and random crashes during games. Of course, it was now out of warranty because AMD decided 4 years was too much for their clients and reduced it to only one year...

The damn card was also loudas hell and the stock heatsink was not cooling it at all. Even while idle, the GPU temperature was always around 50°C and up-to 80-90°C when gaming... Whenever I booted my computer, the heatsink fan would make a massive vacuum cleaner-like noise. So I installed a Zalman VF900-CU to keep it quiet. Now, I can't hear the fan turning, at full speed and with my ear right next to it . It is also a lot cooler now (runs at around 38°C idle and maximum 56-60°C when gaming).

That did it for the crashes but not for the artifact problems...

The card draws so much power that I think it busted the 12V rail on my PSU (explaining the lingering artifacts)... I read somewhere that it can draw as much as 120W from the PSU!

I paid about 450$ for this card (when it was released) plus about 50$ for the Zalman fan, about 15$ for a tube of Arctic Cooling MX-2 and now I probably need another 150$ for a new PSU that can, I sure hope, outlive this damnation...

Next time I'll go for durability over performance and most Nvidia cards (especially the BFG ones) come with lifelong warranties now...

Wow the user who sent this in must have been pretty confused. Maybe he should create a custom list with what games made his 360 RRoD.

Like some other users in this topic, I think it still has some value as a concept but with the lone focus being on the RRoD.

A better concept for this could something like "Hardware Defects" or "Hardware Failures" (although this one could be mistaken for failure in sales so it would problematic). Something that would go through all the notorious hardware defects that have plagued the consoles (NES games read problems, early PS2 DVD Drive Problems, original Xbox Thompson Dirty Disc Errors, Xbox 360 RRoD, etc.) and other platforms in the history of the gaming industry. What do you guys think?

Did you try clearing your browser's cache to see if it would fix the problem?
