Over 400 votes and PC is winning.

I feel that is pretty telling.

Not that PC is better, just that PC feels more relevant to people right now. I feel we are mostly open gamers here who will play anywhere that is most convenient.

I was surprised to see that the PC was ahead by so much. I will be playing it on the PS4 but I would undoubtedly be playing it on the PC if I had one that could run it. The price of moving continents. Oh well. I should have a functional gaming PC in the winter sometime.

The PC is just more convenient of a machine. I would play every game on a console if they were more powerful than a PC but they aren't, not by a long shot. Someone above mentioned that the console versions were comparable to the "medium" PC setting for Shadows of Mordor. It's too bad, really. It still looks amazing, however.

Is Legendary the rarest level of stuff? I'm just wondering because it seems like there's a really different level of expectation for loot in this game than say like WoW. Most people who have played WoW for years and years will never see a legendary drop, nor expect to really ever get one, at least a useful one that isn't 2+ expansions old.

There's one more tier called "exotic". When people reference a legendary drop in Destiny, they are referring to a purple engram. Rather than being a guaranteed piece of gear, this is an item that you have to decode at the tower. In the end, it could end up not being a legendary item at all (or even a usable item).

Not to mention that, unlike WoW, getting legendary items by random drops is the only way to acquire the gear outside of grinding rep and currency for hours and hours.

Jeff, you are the best. I love that you are never afraid to speak your mind on anything. While it is a very difficult time for you, I hope that my comments and the the rest of this thread are just a small example of how much you mean to a group of people you have never met.

I am sorry for your loss.

Although I am hopeful, I want to see some reviews first.

As a french canadian that was too young to vote in 95, go Scotland!

(This is not an elaborate and worthwile opinion at all)

I don't want to derail the thread but are you being serious? I'm a Canadian currently living in Scotland and every time I hear someone bring up the Quebec referendum in conjunction with Scottish independence I roll my eyes. The two situations could not be further apart. I feel that, besides the language issue, western Canada is much more marginalized than Quebec currently is. Scotland's effect on the larger political landscape of the UK is relatively minor (being only 10% of the total population) where as Quebec can sway entire elections. Quebec essentially determined the last election. Had they voted liberal, Ignatieff would be PM but they voted NDP which gave that party official opposition status.

Personally, I think French should be a larger (if not mandatory) part of the Canadian education curriculum. Being a bilingual country is what makes us unique and has been a defining part of our culture. So I really don't get the Quebec separatist grievances as there are other parts of the country that are going through similar issues. Heck, even certain First Nations issues have similar language grievances as Quebec. Luckily, I feel like the whole secessionist feelings in Quebec have been on a downwards trend since most young people see the very real and very impactful place Quebec has in Canada. I don't think Scotland can say the same thing.

I felt like the new South Park game had a lot of padding. I mean, it was really well written but I got really bogged down in some of the side stuff that I slowly lost interest with the main story. It's still a fun game, though.

It will actually cost me $0 because I don't plan on getting one in the near future. While the stuff it does with your tv is mildly interesting it does not seem to work well enough to justify the price nor are there any games on it that I want to play.

I think ads are an inherently terrible but necessary evil. Giant Bomb does podcast ads really well and I willingly listen to them. They are occasionally quite funny.

Isn't it somewhat giving the hackers what they want by mentioning their twitter account in a news article about a DDoS? Wouldn't it be better to simply report the attack and not direct people to the perpetrator's twitter account? I understand the need for trying to figure out the cause but perhaps by broadcasting it we are simply feeding the beast we are trying to get rid of.

Hopefully the authorities get ahold of these bastards. The whole PSN DDoS is really minor compared to the American Airlines shit.
