Hover Junkers is the first game I've seen besides that bullethell thing in the Valve demo pack that looks legit awesome and built from the ground up for VR. Not to mention the scrappy, space cowboy aesthetic is really cool.
I'm downloading this right now, I've heard some disconcerting opinions about this game concerning the framerate lock and style-over-substance, hopefully the combat feels good. I've been playing both Rogue Legacy and Enter the Gungeon recently and they both play tight as fuck.
I used to dislike Dark Souls 2 for the changes they made to the AI where they basically mob you with enemies. Now I've gone back in order to prepare for Dark Souls 3 and I've been playing completely shield-less to learn managing multiple enemies with nothing but my reflexes. It's been incredibly rewarding and Dark Souls 2 is undoubtedly the best in terms of character progression. The sheer number of weapons, armors and playstyles is ridiculous and I've spent 5-6 Soul Vessels (respec item) just to experiment with new weapons. Dishing out 1500 dmg with a single hit while powerstancing ultra greatswords was awesome, if a bit impractical. Now I'm basically playing Barbie Souls with all my equipment.
Big surprise, the game is shit. Stop trying to turn videogames into movies or TV series. We already have plenty of those. A straight-up shooter with time powers could have been really cool (I'm one of those who loved Timeshift) but they had to cram a TV show into it.
Seems kinda weird they neuter the craziness a bit but then introduce a bonkers co-op mode. I guess people will bolt on a bunch of stuff to this down the line anyways.
I would hate it if Sony puts money, time and manpower into developing a more powerful console in order to play games at 4k resolution, instead of improving frame rate and load times.
