The Dynasty Warriors music is wild, so incongruous with the setting and characters. It makes it feel like a dynasty warriors cosplay fighting game in early 90's Japan.
Man, I played a lot of Force Commander. It was buggy as hell but it did some cool things. But I think I mostly just liked playing a Total Annihilation-esque RTS that was Star Wars units.
God, the aesthetic and vibe of everything other than the purchases are soooo good. It feels/sounds/looks like some sort of parallel Ghibli created cosmology. I like the "forced" but casual interactions between other players but it is just such a bummer that it's locked behind paywalls :/
Looking at this as someone who hasn't actually dedicated time to learning a fighting game since Soul Calibur 2, this looks boring as hell. At least with something like MK or DBZ I feel a stirring of desire to learn how to play so I can pull off cool shit. I can't imagine what kind of audience they'll pull in with this.
@mason_pat: Yeah, I hear you and understand the dynamic of the developer bringing it to show. But they always feel sterile or strangely stilted compared to regular content. Obviously, they're welcome to make any content but stuff like this always feels like it runs a little counter to the free-wheeling origin of GB.
