@zaldar: Just to be clear, the classics are definitely worth listening to. I'm particularily partial to Throbbing Gristle's newest (and last, I think) proper album "Part Two: The Endless Not". It's more Coil-like and extremely varied, so I'll just link two more industrial sounding tracks:

Lyre Liar

Greasy Spoon

I have no desire to play this game as it would break me quicker than anything in the world but the music .... holy hell. Can I buy this music? Even better can I buy what perfect runs sound like? This is awesone as all heck?

Bands that play music like this also introduce me to!

At first I wanted to recommend Throbbing Gristle and Einstuerzende Neubauten, but I decided to have a look in my library and found a much better fit in modern industrial sounding electronica. Check out these (sorry for the links, but there are too many to embed without ruining the reading experience for everybody else):

Demdike Stare - Erosion of Mediocrity (most of their stuff is worth recommending)

Kangding Ray - Mojave (I recommend checking out his album "OR" in all its glory)

Perc - My Head Is Slowly Exploding

Tommy Four Seven - Armed 3

Violetshaped - Out Of Any Symmetry and cX310

Black Rain - Endourban and Who Will Save The Tiger? (whole album "Dark Pool" should be up your alley)

Diamond Version - Empowering Change and Forever New Frontiers

Vessel - Red Sex

Byetone - Plastic Star

JK Flesh - Obedient Automaton

Carter Tutti Void - f = (2.2) (I'd recommend all their output)

Samuel Kerridge - FLA·2 (kinda sameish, most of his stuff)

@ehbunner: Nope, AD = Anno Domini. which means "year of the lord" in Latin. It is indeed supposed to signify the beginning of the new era which started with the birth of Christ. Other than that, it's one of those things that make zero sense, but let's not go into that.

What an enjoyable podcast! I will pretend that Jeff's absence has nothing to do with it.

Oh Alex, How I envy you seeing Mr Bungle live! There is no music I would rather see live than some tracks from Disco Volante.

Danny, FFS, Hungary was never part of the USSR. Neither was Poland, which was your claim somewhere within your Witcher 3 coverage. Warsaw Pact? Yes. Soviet sphere of influence? Definitely. Never part of the USSR.

It's literally like claiming that Ireland is part of the UK now.

This is just freakishly early. Can I be sure it's not going to try to convince me to install some special player from a Russian site?

@d_w: Guess what? Christianity is just an epistolary character-driven strategy game played by the infamous gang lead by Paul, known as The Geek :)
