The resist ending is staying true to the theme of this game in that it's nonsensical pseudo-religious bullshit. So that's what I picked.

I'm hard pressed to think of another triple A game with a story as bad as Far Cry 5. Every other game I've played has been, at minimum, coherent(even when the writing is abysmal and the dialogue laughable).

Also, relying on a random radio broadcast to make sense of the ending is just shitty writing. I never heard it in my 30ish hours with the game and, from what I'm hearing, neither did many other people.

Also force feeding you main missions when hit RP thresholds is such a bad idea. Go anywhere, do anything, in our open world game. Except for when we take control away from the player and force them to listen to our boring antagonists babble something about religion in a cutscene.

What the fuck are seals? What the fuck is bliss? What the actual fuck was going on with that music box Jacob Seed used to brainwash you? How did Joseph Seed capture the entire resistance in the end? Is all this shit just author fiat cuz that's what it looks like to me. I'll say again, the story in this game is the actual worst.

....gameplay still solid though.

I hate to be a a downer but I gotta disagree with both Xenoblade and Monster Hunter Generations. Both are very much YMMV games.

Definitely get BOTW and Odyssey. Even if you don't end up liking them, those are games everyone should at least try. Rabbids and Splatoon 2 are really good. The rest are ports that are worth playing if you didn't play them elsewhere.

The story is barely coherent religious psychobabble. Don't get me wrong you can do religion in a game well. This game just...doesn't.

Another thing is that the main antgonists aren't scary or threatening, they're just vaguely annoying. A huuuuuge step back from Pagan Min.

That said I've been having fun playing coop and laughing at the cut scenes with a friend. Sneaking, stabbing, and blowing shit up is still a good time.

Rockets in 5. This was always how it was gonna go. That said the Wolves are gonna be a scary team once they get their shit together. By that I mean FIRE TOM THIBODEAU(and maybe trade wiggins for some shooters).

We'll see how they do against some stiffer competition, but I'd give them the edge against Boston for sure.

I think the most overlooked story of this entire series is James Harden's much improved defense. KAT got the mismatch against Harden 6-7 times and couldn't capitalize once.

What's everyone's take on the way KAT is playing? I'm loving that the media is giving credit to Capela's defense, but getting 2 fgs a game goes a bit beyond getting defended well.
