@killroycantkill: I was wondering the same thing...however I upgraded last night and it still hasn't "kicked in" Did something perhaps go awry? No rush, I just thought it was a great way to support the site I've got so much enjoyment out of and wanted to see some of the extra stuff...I can wait :-)
Weird...I refreshed the page before I posted this and it still wasn't there...posted, refreshed and now it is...spooky. What I'm really saying is Dan is looking in my window right now, but if I don't look back everything will be okay...
@darichardson That's actually a good point about the switch. My account was compromised September 11th and I was on the phone less than an hour later as I happened to check my e-mail right after it happened and got the "As per your request your region has been changed to Russia" e-mail. And I was also not the victim of a phishing scam so I'm not sure how they cracked my account. I'm not even sure what they bought just that they bought $270 worth of points and used them.
But great point...Mr. Russian Hacker flipped it half-way across the world without issue, why can't they flip it back? And when I was on the phone right after the attack the CS agent mentioned MS flagging suspicious activity and locking accounts...I asked what wasn't suspicious about an account being transferred from Canada to Russia and immediately spending $270 after maybe spending $50 in the past year...she didn't have an answer for that one...
I'm currently in the third month of waiting for my account to be recovered. Mine was hacked and transferred to Russia, and then had $270 of MS point purchased on it. I've had the charges reversed, but the account is still locked. I called a couple of weeks ago and they said that if it was domestic (US or Canada) it would have been done within a month but since it was international it could take up to 6 months...not sure for what, I proved I am the rightful owner and didn't suddenly move to Russia so 6 months to...
With my account locked I can't play online, but my saves and DLC were unaffected so I can still play all my Rock Band songs for example. Also when I'm logged in all of my menus are in Russian and let me tell you it took a while to figure out how to do some stuff when the new dashboard rolled out...
Biggest problem is I can't buy anymore DLC for my games until my account is reactivated and even worse all of my Games for Windows Live PC games are unusable. I can't log into my account on the PC so I can't access any of those games...
