Strange, I was able to shout both of them down as a mostly Renegade, but I also had the Overlord DLC (though resolved *that* w/ the Paragon option.) It was also the last recruit mission for me as I wanted to take "him" to "her" mission just to see everyone freak out.
I think because I was playing vanilla ME2 without all the added DLC for free on origin, I just didn't do enough extra stuff. My Renegade bar was just shy of 75% when I was doing both of those missions.
@asherv20: i look forward to alex doing the reaper iff mission as soon as its made available, fast tracking the endgame long before he's done all the important prerequisites.
@nasher27: I forgot how off balance the paragon/renegade stuff got late game. I replayed ME2 this month because of this show, and I went almost full renegade through 90% of the game and still didn't have enough renegade points to recruit Morinth or settle the Tali/Legion argument with no hurt feelings, I guess because those were the last two things I did before the final mission.
