The one and only Brad Shoemaker shows up in the latest Mobcast again, together with some other former gamespot-editors like Greg Kasavin and Jason Ocampo. Give it a listen, I found the topics discussed interesting.

So did you give up to find out what the other endings were? I haven't played this game. Was the storyline pretty much the same each time but had a different ending just because of the couple of the final choices or  was it a completely new story each time?
It wasn't a completely new story each time. But the cool thing was that on your second playthrough some characters might not show up like last time, or not in the same places. It was somewhat random like that. And the choices you made (shoot that guy or not? etc) affected the progression of the story. Maybe not totally impressive by todays standards but nevertheless ahead of its time.

Well there is a slight possibility that they will just not mention it.. Just ignore it. As they did before release. Just pretend it didnt happen.

I understand what you're saying, but isnt it hard to look at games "objectively"? I mean, game-reviewing is not a science by any means. It's always about taste and what you find intresting and entertaining and for me that's a personal thing.

But ok, some games just plain suck. The REALLY bad ones. I find it hard to imagine anyone liking big rigs racing in a non-ironic way. Wow, I think I just answered my own question. :P

I'm just the same way. Buy WAY more games then I have time to play.

I used to be really good at waiting. Now it's just instant gratification all the way. So before i reasoned "I do not have the time to play this game right now, I will buy it in three months, and by then the price probobly has dropped". I have no idea why I can't wait anymore. But it seems like you are on the right path now. 2-3 games a month is enough for most, if you don't play games for a living. :)

Old Republic.

I hope they get some of that KOTOR-vibe in there. Never played FFXI, and XIV just doesnt seem all that interesting to me personally.

Blade Runner released in '97 had about 7-8 endings I think. I tried to get them all but it was hard. Good game though.

Totally agree with you about the numbers and the romances, BG2 did it better. But I STILL have a hard time playing a jackass in this game. Sometimes I find myself thinking long and hard about some of the dialouge-choices, in contrast to for example Mass Effect where it was either the Paragon-answer or the Renegade-answer, or something in between. But the so called "relatioships" is cringe-worthy, the other stuff I think is pretty ambigous.. at least more so then other recent RPGs.
