So I have seen a few threads about YLOD but have yet to see any of it being caused after the 3.61 update. I have tried googling the answer but have had no luck.  
 
Apparently what I was able to find out is that the 80GB PS3's (MGS4 Bundle) and a few other older sku PS3's were having the most trouble after 3.61. I have had my system since June 2008 and not once did I ever have any problems. It is kept in a open area and every month or so I blow out any dust that might have made its way in. After installing 3.61 I got to playing L.A Noire and was able to successfully play through that game. After reading about the overheating issues I got a little worried, but did not experience any problems. 
 
I recently opened up my gamefly account again and had vanquish running on my system. Decided to go play a few days back and 10 minutes later I got the dreaded YLOD. Tried the "hairdryer trick" and it worked for about 15 minutes then got YLOD again.  
 
My big question is that since Sony is aware of the problem with 3.61 and older PS3 sku's overheating, are they taking any steps to help these customers out? I'm not asking for a new one I just want to know if they are going to help me fix it because it really is not my fault that an update of theirs caused my PS3 to crap out. Just curious if anyone knows about what steps Sony is going to take or if it wont even get addressed. Thanks DUDERS!

If you recall the persona 4 ER Jeff had also played parts of Persona 4 prior to the ER. He didn't finish it though and I doubt he got very far in Catherine with the language barrier and all.   I for one would not mind another ER, don't much care for what game it is. An ER at least guarantees us that there will be some form of daily content on the site. I won't bug the guys about it because I know that they will do it when the time is right. Also for the users that don't care about an ER don't post on the thread, you can never tell people what they can and can't post. Just move along to another thread and everyone will remain happy :)

I hope you realize that this is a poll thread, so the topic is in fact their opinions about Endurance runs.

A lot of people has been harassing the crew, constantly asking them when it's going to happen. A new endurance run will happen when we'll least expect it, plus it has to be a game that the GB crew hasn't played yet. Jeff has played Catherine 

wow Europe people sure love complaining....no offense guys but this map was posted on the US playstation Blog. "UUUUUUUUUUUUUSSSSSSSSSSSSSS" of course they won't show a map of Europe

I am glad Patrick joined the GB crew he is a awesome duder and keeps the news on this site fresh and DOESN'T look like something that was copied and pasted from joystiq or kotaku. 

the fact that you don't like that enemies throw grenades to take you out of cover means you should either be playing this game on easy or not at all. The game wouldn't be much fun if you could just stay in one spot the whole time and kill the enemies, where is the fun and thrill in that? Also when you said when you were trying to use melee you would die, would  you by any chance be trying to do that with 5 guys around you? I mean logically do you think you could punch a dude in real life with 5 guys around you loaded with Ak-47's and survive?

I like how we segregate people that enjoy playstation home as if they are another race or something. I was really into it when it came out but it wore off within a month. Never really got into purchasing stuff for my "Home". It has potential but still doesn't have that main stream appeal and the rare times I would jump back in I would find myself spending the majority of the time downloading spaces, giving me enough time to ask myself "What the hell am I doing?"
