Seems like Gundam Battle Assault 2 was made by the same people as whatever this power rangers thing is. Looks/sounds similar.

They should play that because Gundams are rad.

Watching this in 2018! Boy, how bout that 360p video eh?

Just picked up the Metro Redux bundle for $6 and, oddly enough, I happen to be at this exact spot in my own game.

If I was a dev on this game I'd be dying from Alex's choice of words lol

From the Quick Look, it seems like a decent game. That "7/10" type of game. There is an audience for this style of low time investment tier racing game and they would enjoy it thoroughly. It's less about those other "big" AAA titles being big and lots of stuff and.. big, that separates these games and more that this is just an arcade racer I guess.

And recently I've been thinking that there are a fair amount more of this tier of racing game out there than they give credit.. Its just the big AAA ones are only popping up on their radar. There seems to be all sorts of odd racing titles out there.

@engineno9: Nice. Thanks for the information. Maybe I'll give MXGP3 a real look then.

Framerate is one my questions yea, if it runs at 60fps on PS4 Pro? The other is if there is an option to disable the Motion Blur on consoles. It was the first thing I had to do on PC because good lord there is no reason for it.

The couple VVV vids mention him playing MESX on a regular PS4 I guess? Hmm. I'll do some more digging.

@engineno9: So I've "sampled" both Monster Energy Supercross and MX vs ATV All Out on PC now and I'm fairly certain I want ME Supercross.

First I tried All Out and thought it was kinda meh. It definitely reminded me of all the standard dirt bike games I've played over the years. I also couldn't quite get the hang of the handling and rhythm etc. Eventually, I found the side "Slot" camera and immediately got better. This is how I always played Motocross Madness and the ATV Offroad Fury games. Still, I wasn't really gravitating toward the game.

Then I gave ME Supercross a shot and.. Wow. Holy crap does this game look good. I cannot believe how close some games are getting to reality. When you're riding, everything just looks superb. All the details, the clothing physics, and the lighting most of all. From replay i.e. TV angles, it looks like a game just because the way the camera locks onto the rider. Wonder if there is a way to change that. Anyway, I immediately vibed with this game. The way it feels to play seems so much better to me? I'm not saying its the most realistic thing ever, but I got into a groove and rhythm much faster. I love the way I can slide the rear into corners and it looks so good. You can of course slide around in All Out but its more like you're fighting the physics to do it. There must be a certain something to the Milestone games that jives with me. I did watch some gameplay of MXGP3 again after playing Supercross but something about it looks weird/bad to me. I think it was their first go on this different engine? So I'm fine skipping that one.

The downsides to Supercross are.. well it's only Supercross and it doesn't have the side "Slot" camera angle. I will also note that I tried the first person cam assuming it'd be horrible, sickening, and awkward to play.. Turns out it looks good and I was able to ride very well with it lol Really fun.

So my question: I'd like to get ME Supercross on PS4, just for the convenience really, but I want to know how it runs/looks. Unfortunately, I don't think Digital Foundry has run any comparisons on these games lol I also don't necessarily want to spend $50 for a copy. Wish I could find a boxed copy for $30 or something but no luck so far.

Was thinking about getting this game as I recently enjoyed MXGP2. Apparently this runs pretty poorly on PS4? That was just one youtuber though and who knows what the details are.

Then I stumbled on some new Monster Energy Supercross game and that looks maybe better?

And I'll agree that its a little rough when racing games get coverage on here but eh..

What is that opening music again? I swear they've used it before and I was trying to figure out the same thing. Can't remember it. So epic.
