(most of whom aren't even gainfully employed in any capacity at all like the dude, the so called 'journalist' who I initially replied to)
And another swing and a miss. The so-called 'journalist' makes a sustainable amount of so-called 'money' from his gigs. Also, I already explained to you that the shitting was on a particular subset of these degrees, but you seem to be physically unable to wrap your head around such a concept, so never mind that.
The so called journalist is a freelance games reviewer.
The freelance games reviewer is taking classes in journalism, and has done smalltime journalistic work. But either way, the point was in you claiming that I wasn't gainfully employed. Funny how I keep having to explain the point to you.
So don't call yourself a journalist and don't talk like someone with industry experience. You have no industry experience to talk about which schools are decent or not and the statement you made which I replied, a statement you continue to make in error, is that somehow Game Design degrees are all Liberal Arts degrees (they're not) and that Liberal Arts degrees are somehow useless by definition (they're not). It's not funny how I keep having to repeat that idea because you keep sidestepping it, it's just sad.
Never called myself one. I said I write AS one. As in, occasionally write originally researched articles intended to convey information on current events, and receiving compensation in return. But I don't identify as a journalist any more than I identify as a novelist because of the fiction I've written. You really should try a new tact that doesn't involve twisting words. As for "talking like someone with industry experience": For... what, now... the fifth time? I don't. At all. Your obsession with this is a little bizarre, to be honest. Do you suffer hallucinations, perchance? One doesn't need "industry experience" to see what schools are reputable. You do know that any Joe Blow can find this out on their own, yeah? I don't need to interview David Jaffe to know that School X has a long and storied history of scamming students.
"that somehow Game Design degrees are all Liberal Arts degrees" Never said that, either. It's called a comparison. If I say "Filet mignons are the fine wines of beef products", I'm not saying that filet mignons are made of grapes.
" and that Liberal Arts degrees are somehow useless by definition" Never did that pass my lips/fingers. Liberal Arts degrees are quite often never followed up on, which makes them useless in those circumstances. "Some" vs. "all". It'd behoove you to learn the difference.
"It's not funny how I keep having to repeat that idea because you keep sidestepping it, it's just sad." This "idea" of yours involves making shit up out of thin air, for one. For another, I've addressed you directly each time. You're the one picking one or two words out of each post and pretending that I said something else. Sad indeed.
