I feel like they're really doing a disservice to Abby making her expect Death Stranding to be much more goofy/wacky then it will be. There's goofy stuff in Metal Gear, sure, but they make it seem like that's all it is. It also isn't gonna be an incomprehensible clusterfuck of a story like they act like Metal Gear is (and MGS isn't that either).

The Beastcast seem to have taken the 'President of Jack Shit' and the 'walls' stuff far more literal than they should have. It's basically post-post apocalypse, 'President' is most likely just seen as a title. The walls being the walls people build around themselves, closing themselves off to others. Like how the crew is with online gaming, no mics mute everyone sorta thing. Might be wrong on their interpretation of the president thing, but I've seen some comments around the internet take the wall stuff as literal walls (which is also possible, for protection and stuff).

Fragile is also a cool name for a character, regardless of gender. Mama will make more sense in context too.

Instead of watching OG Dragonball or Super or Evolution or GT or whatever else, I'd rather see them watch something entirely new. I have a lot of suggestions I'd like to throw around, as does everyone who has ever remotely been into anime, but enough has been thrown their way that I'll just wait and see what happens.

Or we might not get another anime podcast. My understanding is that this thing is frequently difficult to fit into their schedules.

I'm right there with you. I'd prefer something new entirely.

As someone who has only seen the first 2 Fast an the Furious movies, this new trailer makes it seem like they went full fantasy/super hero with this franchise.

Is this new? Did some crazy twist from reality to fantasy happen in these films? LOL

Starting from the 5th movie they get wild. They're essentially secret agents working for the government by ways of Kurt Russell's character 'Mr. Nobody'. They're fantastic.

@bbalpert: Yup! When you get to the labs, there's the computer you need to use to figure out the password for a different one to unlock the doors and everything. He name drops Ada (which is also the password in the REmake, iirc) telling her to initiate self destruct and take some info to expose Umbrella.

@houk: It's probably the most common/front and center, for sure. But there's still the standard non-ecchi fanservice to be had aplenty in anime.

Fanservice is anything that the fans would want. Y'all were right, you got the fanservice like Vinny and Dan mentioned and then there's the fanservice Abby mentioned. It's all fanservice.

@smurf_in_a_blender: I was pretty indifferent to it too. "Oh, huh. that's neat. Time to keep shooting y'all but spare the queen I guess. She seems nice." Outside of the queen, all they are are just another alien enemy to kill.

Semi-related to UPF: is anyone else bothered by how soon after release spoilers started coming out for Infinity War? I'm good at avoiding spoilers but people just love to drop or heavily imply the ending of that movie into seemingly completely unrelated conversations.

I had it a bit spoiled for me that week/a day or two after. Saw the memes 'oh, huh. must be an infinity war thing I guess?' what sealed the deal is people being 'vague' and adding in a certain quote from the end of the movie. 'oh...well, I guess I know that persons fate. cool. thanks internet. wait at least a week or something, could ya?'

@fatmanpalmer17: Is that when someone emails something to both teams? I've never understood the hate from that, people just want to hear the whole crews opinion on it, and it's not like the answers will be the same (well, not always at least. depends on the question).
