I've told this story like a dozen times now, but here we go:

I had only ever saw random clips of folks from the bigger companies for a while. I had also been streaming for years and never shown my face because being on camera makes my skin crawl, along with some minor health concerns.

I watched a video from Ironmouse with her telling her story, and how being a vtuber lets her feel more herself as well as better connect with her community. This made it click for me, and I then debuted my own model a little under a year ago.

It has been a blast, my existing community responded very well to it, and it lets me mess with a bunch of new streaming tech all the time.

Vshojo's group is a wild bunch, but hilarious. If you aren't aware of Ironmouse, you should at least go watch a video talking about her history and story. It is truly inspiring. There are ton of independent folks out there worth checking out, too (I know friends will call me out if I don't mention Vshojo adjacent folks like Buffpup/Snuffy/Haruka, but you should also check out variety streamers like PeacheyPill, Zuaniich/Zuan, MonikaCinnyRoll, Theonemanny, art streamers like Midimayo, etc).

(Or me, I guess, if you have interest in a variety streamer who is a Sentient AI Vtuber)

3rd or 4th year with Team GB! This year I've roped in a fellow streamer and GB Fan OKRetroZone to co-hosting over on my channel..

We're going to be doing a ton of co-op stuff, some solo stuff, and a decent amount of games with Twitch Integration (Vermintide 2 and Chef Squad, to name a few). I know the panini has been rough on everyone, so feel free to come and hang out even if you cannot donate.

A 'win' is them fundamentally fixing the design flaw, and replacing all impacted models (not just doing a swap of parts with the same flawed sticks).

I don't see that happening, though.

Every single show Abby got going was amazing.

Even the ones that didn't go past a few episodes were fantastic.

I'm exceptionally sad to see her leave the crew, but will be excited to see what she does next.

ZombiePie, why? Who did this to you? (It was Ian Kelley, wasn't it.)

Jokes aside, if you ever want to join us in the good FF MMO, the GB FC VinCo is here to help.

You can actually blame @jeffrud for making me play FFXI. For whatever reason, he thought the game was set to die when in reality it is doing well and even experienced new expansion pack content earlier this year. Just as I logged off from the game for the final time, the game had a summer festival event with new items and NPCs and its 18th anniversary celebratory event. It was bonkers.

However, @ltsquigs has mounted the most emphatic defense of FFXI I have seen outside of the people I interacted with in the game.

Yes, definitely. Ian/Squigs' discussions around/defense of FFXI almost got me to reinstall.

And then the memories came back.

I'm really enjoying it so far, but they really needed date scrawls when they jumped around. A lot of people not knowing these are different time settings at first (Yennefer's > Geralt's > Ciri's) are going to find it jarring.

Thanks @danauer@rorie.

Maybe I never noticed it before, then. The navbar changed may have just made me realize there is still a toooon of unused whitespace (greyspace?). Thanks for checking in.

(now, feature request: full-width usage toggle? I think ResetERA has a similar issue where their default style leaves about 1/3rd of the screen unused, but have a "fit-width" option. Just throwing it out there, no urgency obviously.)

Not sure if this is a bug or something changed in the site design this afternoon that's really jarring: All of a sudden the main page and the forums now has huge whitespace on the sides of all of the content?

This is just at 1080p resolution, too.

Is Anthem, in it's current state, worth $20?

Sure. Even just to play through the campaign then drop it. I checked back in and they've made a bunch of UI, performance, and Quality of Life changes for the better.

Is it going to make a FFXIV or Destiny/The Division style turnaround? Seems unlikely.

So I'm not exactly sure where this should go, apologies if this is the wrong place.

Having been premium for years, I never see any of the ads on the site. However, I'm testing out new browsers as I'm getting tired of Chrome's memory bloat.

Upon accessing the home page, I'm greeted by this near full screen ad for Facebook gaming.

Is this normal? This seems unreasonably large and obtrusive.
