I donated 301 dollars to Child's Play Charity, through the Ragequit.Tv 48 hour stream.   it is good to donate. It is a good cause.  C'mon people you can donate too.
The total so far, is almost 3400 dollars. someone else donated 200 and 300 dollars,  but i decided to 1up them with 301.

Good for you man. Unfortunately I won't be upping you, I've already put my donations elsewhere, but It's east to say I hope you get beat.

Lol i think i missed the point about charity its not about beating each others donation ... its about giveing your money away for a good cause without expecting anything in return

I need a source of income before I spend it like that. 
 
Besides, I would rather give it to another charity.

I spent my last £20 on a Gears Of War "Save Carmine!" shirt - all proceeds going to childsplay. I also bought the Humble Indie bundle a while back and donated all the proceeds from that as well. I think it's a great charity :D

Good for you, man. Every year I do the Extra Life 24-hour gaming marathon charity through Sarcastic Gamer. I get friends/family to pledge me some money, and just game through the night. The money goes to the Texas Children's Hospital. It's fun, and always for a good cause :)

Wow, assholes presiding even within a thread about donating to a charity. Giant Bomb's community has gotten exceptionally shitty in the last year or so.

They raised 4200 dollars in the 48 hour stream.  So they did really good. Props to the RageQuit.tv guys and all the donators.

Yeah I give an amount of money to save the children every month, and during christmas I give to the salvation army so that the poor can have food for the holidays. It's not that I feel good by giving away money, it's that I feel bad if I don't :P Especially during xmas. Also I would feel like an asshole if I called save the children to cancel my monthly donation.

by i guess i donated a weeks worth.  is, I guess 301 dollars is about half of my 2 weeks take home pay, on avg.
I really did donate, but I guess it was a week's worth of pay.  after taxes, deductions, insurance, etc.

Why are people being douchebags? He donated to charity!

I helped Raise money for RelayForLife, earlier this year. 
 
@GIVEMEREPLAY: no, actually, I was trying to help spread the word to get others to donate something...  Dick.   its funny how people talk shit about someone else who does something for charity, because they aren't willing to do something good themselves.  I hope if they have any kids, they never get hospitalized, because I don't want you to benefit from from the charity of the rest of us.
