@bigboss1911: you've been to those places? i find this remark borderline racist.

a country isnt a race.

ive always read the middle east and africa had a lot of open spaces.

a lot of places have empty open spaces but the way he said was with a negative connotation on africa and afghanistan.

Yeah, not really.

In any case, keep in mind the areas we have access are occupied combat zones.

@oursin_360:Huey kills Strangelove because she sent their son, Hal, away after Huey used him as a test pilot for Metal Gear. There is also the possibility that Strangelove only used Huey to have a child since she was kind of still obsessed/in love with the mammal pod/The Boss.

As for betraying Snake, the easy answer is to save his own ass. I don't think he set up the inspection knowing it was a ruse, but I do think he did nothing to warn Snake and Miller and took an offer from Cipher once they revealed themselves to him.

In the end, fuck Huey.

I used Quiet on nearly every mission and side op as soon as I got her as a buddy (minus the mine clearing ones), so there was quite an adjustment to be made after her departure. I was used to jogging through outposts listening to Gloria while she marked and tranq'd anyone that I missed myself. I definitely miss having her as my buddy, but in the end it was a really great mission from a story perspective (but from a gameplay perspective, fuck mission 45. What a pain if you don't have a powerful rocket launcher).

At least I still have D-Dog. As OP as Quiet might have been, D-Dog's bark in combination with chain CQC makes up for her absence.

@demoskinos: Miller doesn't know about BB's phantom until the end, but he's spent those nine years trying to lay the foundation for Diamond Dogs, probably in the hope that BB would wake up. He was captured by the Soviets at the beginning of the game, yes, but by that point Diamond Dogs was already in its infancy with the command platform already built.

This mission gave me chills and, as others have said, Snake's speech at the end is perfect. I love me some David Hayter, but I think this was the scene that made me sure that replacing him with Kiefer for this game was the right move.

I love that this looks to be both potentially extremely tactical and a complete shit-show. Can't wait.

Cool, thanks for the replies. Some of the hard more things are cool, like subsistence mode, but I'm glad I don't have to do them.

@mirado: So the hard-mode old missions don't really matter? Interesting. I'm up to Episode 38, but I don't see any indication that I should be doing older missions other than the hard-more versions. Am I missing something, or just not there yet?
