I was looking forward to reading this because I've had this game sitting in my library for a while and wanted to see how it was completed, and reading that your kid was interested I was like, huh, isn't this game like full of death and weird imagery... Then that it's like a gentle puzzle game I was like, double huh I swear this was a management sim of some kind...
Well there apparently is a huge difference between Down in Bermuda and Dead in Bermuda. :P Still a nice read even if this definitely doesn't sound like it's for me.
This was a fun read, I always love discussion on fashion disasters in video games! (For more baffling designs I recommend checking out some of Lightning's outfits in Lightning Returns: FF13.) I've often been Rune Factory curious and this actually gave me a better sense of what it's like than reviews from people who're fans. I might try out 5 when it releases.
Really nice list, I'm going to have to check a few of the ones I hadn't heard of out. Also have to give props to the FFII shoutout, so happy to see it get some appreciation cause it's a great game.
Great list, love how you wrote about a lot of these very descriptively but still didn't give that much away. Have to look into a bunch of these and, like, actually play Get in the Car, Loser! since I did pick it up already lol.
I agree SH2 would be good. As much as I'd love Jan to play Danganronpa it's pretty long and unless they're going to read all the dialog aloud, it'd get pretty boring.
