Even though I don't have much in common with your list (only because I haven't played a lot of the same games) I really enjoyed reading this one. Your writing about VRChat and WinAmp really hit well as a person also conflicted by the narrowing of internet spaces. The writing about games was good too of course, just appreciated the contemplation.
Nice list! I also really hope that GAAC somehow leads to more AA, especially since it shows that breaking away from the original characters can be done very successfully. And I'm only maybe halfway through Neo TWEWY but I think you wrote about it perfectly; it felt like there was no way it'd be good but I'm really enjoying it.
Nice list, despite the reminder I need to play more Trails when I have so many jrpgs on my plate already lol. I too hope that Yuffie shows up in the next part of FFVIIR as a nuisance too! Happy to see NieR at the top, I'm glad this remake came out so more people could experience it.
I've enjoyed reading a good amount of your blogs this (er, last) year so I appreciate the final roundup, even if it made you question the meaning of GOTY. ;) Still sorry to hear you disliked DQ11 so much (but it's all good) and I hope to continue reading a good amount of your blogs in 2022.
Like the other comments I feel like I want to seal this format this year haha. But also I want to compliment your good taste in games, Wario Land 4 is amazing and so are quite a few others. Judging solely by this list I recommend finishing Strange Journey! It can get hellish at times but is worth it.
Really appreciate you writing a little blurb for everything, thanks to that I found a couple things I was interested in! And a few I thought seemed cool but didn't even know were released, like Road 96 and Haven.
Thanks a lot for this list, these all sound worth checking out! (ok I mostly want to play Death Flush) It can be hard to find the "good" releases on itch.io so I appreciate the effort put into elevating the ones that didn't get a lot of (or any) buzz.
Really nice mix of big and smaller games! I only recently heard about Tianding and your description has me even more interested in it. I haven't played Tsukihime yet but I'm glad the remake seems good since I know a lot of fans, I'm looking forward to experiencing it myself. :)
Nice list, happy to see Gnosia so high on someone's! Good reminder that I need to get Fuga and (despite thinking the humor seems very not for me) It Takes Two just so I can play with my sister.
