Thanks for the write-up, this is one of those games that I look at every time there's a sale like, maybe I should get this sometime? But it sounds like I have many more worthy VNs until I'm at that point, lol.

@meierthered: Jonathan Holmes is a great advocate for all things Suda51 for sure! I'm glad you took a chance because it is a really interesting couple of games. TSA's story line is my favorite but you're right, the execution's not great. (Playing it in coop was a little more fun but not everyone has that ability.)

Enjoy the first two! I'm not a fan of 2 but it's more for story reasons, if you focus on the combat there are some great bosses and it's not like, terrible.

I recently watched a video (more specifically about the ones where they spread the food on the counter Coldstone style) that obviously resulted in the same place, but it's fun to see other takes. When I first saw these in the wild I thought they were supposed to be straightface parodies of cooking hacks and aside from the waste thought it was funny in an infuriating, anarchist way, then suspected the fetish thing, but knowing it is pure greedy cynicism makes it 100% gross. Great video!

I don't know what the actual game is at all, like whether they follow a narrative or not but I love the ads that I don't know how to describe other than like: "choose your wife: humble/beautiful/chaste vs evil/ugly/manipulative". Great ep.

Great review, thanks for being so thorough. I watched a shorter review that had a lot of issues but I was still thinking about it (since I wasn't going to get it on switch anyway) and this pretty much convinced me otherwise. It's a shame, because I'd love to support a small Colombian dev team, especially with the amount of effort put into the beautiful art, but it sounds like the majority of it needed some more time in the planning oven.

This is very funny but it is a little tricky when Jeff doesn't have confident answers. I feel like Dan's going to look into perpetual motion machine bs when he can't be told that an "infinite" battery that charges on nothing is not possible lol. And since the format is kinda rigid, there's no way for them to diverge onto related topics--I think his confusion about all his electrons falling off and the generals of electric flow could've been addressed to his benefit. Glad he got something out of it though! And that this is generally positive and not just slamming him.

Went in not sure if I'd dig this but I thought it was pretty good! There's a couple of small production tweaks that I hope happen with time, and I wish they'd play at least a clip or two (maybe for like, the song they want to highlight most) so I could have some context (cause I'm not listening to that shit) but overall got me laughing. Acerbic humor about popular millionaires is fine in my book.

Side note: I can confirm the existence of Weezer teens. A few years ago a coworker of mine proudly told me how she introduced her kids to them and how much they loved it.

This was a ton of fun, these guys have great chemistry and energy and I think as the show goes on it'll only get better. I've long debated getting into Kamen Rider or Ultraman so this kind of scratches a tokusatsu itch for me.
