@nictel: No it doesn't boot at all, instead of it automatically turning my monitor on it just sits there doing nothing and when I turn my monitor on manually it then comes up with "DVI no signal"

I think i'll save the old switcheroo as a fail safe because I have a sneaking suspicion that it will also screw up.

I'll check out a hardware forum and see if the pros can help me but either way thanks for the help.

@nictel: The only other slot that the sound card would fit in is being used by my wi-fi card so I won't be able to do that.

And when I try to boot up my PC with the sound card in my Graphics card fan turns on so I assume that it's booting up.

Is there any information that may be of use to you if you're keen to continue to try to help me?

I recently got the ASUS Xonar DSX sound card but it seems when I plug it into my PC and try start my computer it just says "no DVI signal" but when I unplug it and try to start my PC it works fine.

I would really appreciate some help on this because it's really starting to annoy me.

PS: Apologies if I seem like an idiot, I've never had a sound card before.

So I have an SSD and have been told I need AHCI enabled so how do I enable it/See if it is enabled (I was told I can check it in device manager under IDE/ATAPI controllers, When I did check it says " c216 chipset family sata ahci controller") does that mean it is enabled?

Ok so i'm not sure how to put this into words but i'll try, I'm attempting to figure out how to get my SSD to do all of the loading and stuff while my hard drive has everything on it.

Sorry if this is a dumb question i'm getting my parts in the next couple days and would like to know what to do with my SSD and my hard drive.

As I said it's my first time building and i'm a bit worried so any help with this would be appreciated.

Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO CPU

EVGA GTX 680 Superclocked Graphics Card

Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD3H WI-FI Motherboard

16GB Corsair Vengeance RAM

256GB Samsung 830 pro Series SSD

Western Digital Caviar Black Hard Drive

750W Corsair TX750W Modular Power Supply

Fractal Design Refine R4 Case

I would really appreciate it is someone could take a little bit of time to figure out if all of these parts are compatible.

Sorry if this is a dumb question but this is my first time building a gaming PC and I don't want to screw it up

Thanks

Edit: I would also appreciate it if someone could tell me how I would go about setting up my motherboard to recieve wi-fi

@mirado: So just to be 100% sure you recommended the Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO CPU Cooler right? Sorry I just don't want to get the wrong one.
