*grumble grumble nonsensical swearing* 
 
I've said it before, I hate the language laws here, they are an obvious prejudiced attempt to show how much Quebec hates English Canadians by limiting their ability to converse in the province. While at the same time destroying the French language by making a mockery of it in everyday speech (French readers will know that the phrase "Dans mon livre à moi" is filled with enough errors to make your head explode) and in simply making the people who identify themselves as French Canadian looking like total jerks. Although many are, believe me, in this short time period of four weeks I've had enough French speaking customers be pissed off at me when I say "Hello" before "Bonjour". It's simply silly is all. 
 
So no, in summary. I didn't get the game and I might not considering how bloody idiotic the shipment schedule is here. Apparently in the 3 stores I've been to just the two hours ago do not carry the English versions. Because Quebec has a stranglehold on all English medias that come here, thus making the purchasing power for those who want the real product very much limited. Chances are I won't be able to play the game for a few more days, so I can wait. Generally I wouldn't be pissed off, but the language laws put me out of 79 dollars in my attempts to buy Mass Effect 2. Apparently stores don't take things back 3 hours after you buy it *facepalm*, which is stupid again, and I would have been able to avoid losing that 79 dollars had I been informed that there were a few more changes and alterations to the implementation of the laws.
 
Grr, Murphy's Law is a jerk. An entire week of pay is gone because of stupid prejudiced laws. How wonderful, I knew this was going to happen, I expected the worse and this is what I get.

I saw a short documentary or was it a news story, whatever, and during the broadcast they showed a sign in a small town in Quebec that said, "No English Speaking Allowed", I laughed because it was in English.

Ah, yes.  I still remember the dirty looks I got from people there.  Nice city, but the politics are irritating...  and I was just VISITING!
