This thread should be about laughing at crazy people, not talking religion.
True, but where do you expect the thread to go when someone starts with this silly "America is NOT built on religion" stuff, and lumping other people of faith together with this crazy bitch?"
Teh lock. Or, you could ignore him. People do it to me all the time. *laughs to himself*"
I normally ignore trolling, but I didn't think of that as such. As for the actual topic, this is a great read. The part about Rapture was genius. :)

Separation from Church and State is an idealistic concept that while should be in effect, is not. We swear upon a bible in court and pledge to god in the Pedge of Allegiance. The Founding Fathers put their desire for this in the constitution, however they themselves never actually adhered to this rule. Ironic, isn't it?"
Separation from church and state means something very different to many people now than our founding fathers intended. It meant there would be no government established religion, meaning there would be no government oriented religious persecution of other faiths. The founding fathers were perfectly fine with swearing in upon a Bible, and having God in the pledge of allegiance, or teaching the word of God in public funded schools. With the church and state issue, the founding fathers were just trying to prevent situations like the Spanish inquisition, where people were persecuted and tortured because they believed in the "wrong" faith.
These days, the concept has been twisted into a very different meaning, and is now used by politically correct individuals who wish to have any mention of God, or even unspecified faith, removed from all state funded activities, but that was never the original intent.
America is NOT built on religion, but understanding and tolerance. If you want to be take that away, then get the fuck out."
America was very much founded upon Christian values, although the whole issue of slavery was insanely hypocritical. And if you're practicing your chosen faith correctly, religion itself is about understanding and tolerance. Less "eye for an eye" and more "let he who has not sinned cast the first stone," please.
Gametrailers TV dropped the date announcement the other day, but price has yet to be confirmed. So then, who else is looking forward to some eight player co-op and dukematches?
