Ah, the "ol' swerve, j/k" end. People love that. Also, the team with the most in-fighting still won. Okay...
Shane was the least interesting person to end that match, too.
Time to cancel again until Rumble or WM.
Thinking the same.
If it wasn't for the want to watch Takeovers live, I don't know that I'd have the network for anything beyond Wrestlemania.
I really think they screwed the pooch by not having the AJ/Lesnar match on last. They could have totally had Mahal come out and shenanigan his way to causing AJ to lose and then even have Mahal bury Lesnar after the pin. The story was already there. I know that Mahal isn't everyone's favorite, but they could have used the interference as a way to taint RAW's SS win, paint Mahal as the kind of guy who doesn't give a damn about Smackdown or RAW, add fire to the Mahal/AJ feud, and give Mahal the cool visual of having him standing in the middle of the ring holding both belts. It was a great match as is (one of Lesnar's best), but it deserved the main event slot more than what the men's SS match ended up being.
Instead we got HHH, Kurt Angle and Shane-O in the ring playing like it's still 1999, and only giving Braun the wink and the nod. Zero elevation to any of the newer talent. Imagine a men's match where it was Nakamura/Roode in a 5 on 2 type situation and one, the other, or both pull off the win, or reverse it and do the same with Balor/Joe. So many different ways they could have gone that would have felt fresh and forward thinking, instead it felt like they were eliminated by seniority, with Vince giving a hall pass to Braun. So disappointing.
Great AJ/Lesnar match, REALLY great Usos/Bar match, everything else felt pretty forgettable.
