This is remarkably shitty. This is going to hurt them more than they gain from it. It is so strange when they are publishing their own game to go with a business model like this. If there are some technical issues going from Steam<->Epic they should have just made the H1 & H2 levels free for everyone who bought H3 on Epic within the first week or so. I guess their deal with Epic is too good and Epic are being shitty somehow but this is not good for the company.

I was 100% going to pre-order the game on Epic but I think I might just wait in protest for the Steam version.

Its really sad. That said, Brood War has not had a patch in 20 years and it still has a competitive scene. The fact that we dont see a continuation of Starcraft II or even a Starcraft III is two-fold: Blizzard is no longer the company it used to be (with all the original talent long gone) and the RTS genre is not as popular anymore. People want easier and more laid-back games like MOBA:s. I just hope someone comes along and starts producing new and AAA RTS games again.

I have a GTX 1080Ti, i7-7700K, 1440 monitor with g sync.

I am running everything at 1440p resolution, settings on high except textures that are on ultra and I get steady frames at 60. I can go to maybe 75 fps with steady frames but my GPU becomes very hot so I cap at 60. The game has crashed two times during approx 12 hours of play. So its not a great port but totally playable on my system.
