@nevergameover: my main point is that I enjoy it and that if people don't like it, I understand but what I don't understand is people suddenly losing the concept of opinion and creators' intent. They made a design choice to be weighty and by all accounts from criticism it seems they nailed that. Again, I enjoy the decision they made and I think the gameplay reflects that for me.
It's like going to an Italian restaurant and complaining they don't have pancakes. You have a whole building full of people enjoying pasta then you have people being like "well it's not pancakes so it's bad. I wanted pancakes."
If you find the game too slow that's a valid criticism but, for me, not a knock against the game since it's deliberate. I enjoy it, I find it actually refreshing in a sense.
It's like people wanting Cliff's Notes but this is clearly a Ken Burns documentary.
New Fucked Up is really good. I appreciate the new directions they seem to have no problem wandering to within each song.
New Daughters album is weird in a great way. If you don't like them I doubt this will change anything. Less straight-forward rocking songs, a LOT more atmosphere. Groovy in their own way.
The Hot Wheels DLC was cool at first but I found the actual racing and exploration of the island not as fun as regular Horizon because it really made the game feel extra-arcadey.
In terms of ideas for new DLC, with the seasonal changes already in the game I would think bikes might be one of the only options that they haven't done before.
@orwellhuxzam: I guess I either forgot about the redesign or hadn't heard about it, so I get work prioritization when it comes to this kind of stuff. Hope I didn't come off impatient, I understand now why this might not be even worth spending time fixing in the long run.
Can anyone from the site give us any info on this? A simple "we're working on it" even? The massive push toward all video content is neat, but when I have to do work-arounds to watch anything it makes me wonder why I pay to support the site. Not to be "that guy" but it seems like it's an issue for a lot of people and it's frustrating to feel we're all in here talking to a wall.
