First of all, there is no question in my mind that single-player games are far more artistic than multiplayer. However, as someone who rarely plays multiplayer, I have to ask: are multiplayer games more fun? I find that as I become more focused on real life, I am really starting to question the substantial value of artistry in all forms of entertainment. I am beginning to believe that artistic movies, games, music and literature tend to inspire obsessive interest, and I am trying to ween myself off such obsession. Should I switch my playing habits to mostly multiplayer? I don't think I could ever obsess over deathmatch or capture-the-flag.
